Medoran Chronicles Alex X Kaiden

Ch 6

We sat on the bed for awhile before we started felling drowsy so we got up and got dressed into Pjs. Taking a sip of the blue liquid that Fletcher gave me I hoped back into bed next to Kaiden and fell into a peaceful sleep untouched by nightmares.

We woke up later in time for dinner. Getting up and walking to the family room with Kaiden, his sister already there saying his Aunt had gone to work for a bit. We sat down at the table and had dinner.

"Are you two going back to bed or what are you doing?" Jeera asked us.

"I don't know, Alex what do you want to do?" Kaiden asked looking over at me.

"I am still really tired so I think I'm going to go back to sleep." Kaiden reached over and put his hand on my leg squeezing it gently knowing why I was so tired, I could see the concern in his eyes.

As we finished dinner Kaiden and I returned to our room. Kaiden closed the door behind us.

"Alex, how much sleep have you lost from these nightmares?" Kaiden asked sitting down next to me on the bed.

"Well at first I would wake up in the middle of the night in a cold sweet and Dix would stay awake as long as she could helping me then we would both go back to sleep woken hours later by the same nightmare, that lasted about a month till I saw how restless Dix had become so every night I would wait for her to fall asleep then Xira and I would sneak out that's been going on ever since." I could not meet his eyes so I just watched the door.

"Alex you need to tell me these thing I'm worried about you." Kaiden pulled me close and laid back down I knew he had seen the bags under my eyes for months he had commented on them a few times I had just lied.

"I know" I said in barely a whisper cuddled close to Kaiden slowly slipping into dreamless sleep.

A few weeks past and the morning we returned to school came. The nightmares stopped and I got good nights sleep every night tangled in Kaiden's arms, he would be awake by the time I woke up to remind me I was not alone he would say 'Good Morning Princess' each morning when I woke.

This morning was different, I woke in the early hours of the morning still tangled in Kaiden's tight unyielding arms even as he slept. I tried to get up but he only held tighter starting to stir. Not wanting to wake him I just laid there deep in thought. I thought of everything we did over the Kaladoras holiday but my thoughts strayed to the original ending to the a war, war version 1 as we call it. The pain the destruction. I tried to think of other things but it kept coming back to the war. Giving up I used Mayarian strength to get lose getting up and started to pace. It was getting to much for me. Watching everyone die all over again and again and again. I didn't even notice Kaiden had woken up till he wrapped his arms around me halting me in my pace while pulling me close.

"Sh sh" He calmed as I started to cry.

He lead us back to the bed where he sat with me on his lap holding me tight as I cried not saying a word. We sat there for a little before I calmed down. A knock on the door grabbing our attention.

"Time for breakfast lovebirds." Jeera said pocking her head in before leaving.

"Your explaining what all that was about when we come back in here." I wanted to avoid that chat even if he already knew.

We left his room and went to breakfast, I ate as fast as I could then went and got dressed while they were still eating. I went out onto the beach bellow in may bathers and a nice white and black dress. It didn't take long before Kaiden followed me out. So to avoid talking to him I went deep under water and swam, swam as far and fast as I could. I was afraid, afraid I would bring to much trouble for him and he would leave me. I was scarred of waking one day to find all of it was a dream and I was still on the bloodied field surrounded by the death and destruction caused by Aven. I could hear Kaiden calling my name but he couldn't see me so I kept swimming. It wasn't long and I heard Jeera join Kaiden yelling my name still I refused to make myself noticed. I looked back at where the yells were coming from and I ran into something I felt a great pain in my head then it went fuzzy then darkness clouded my vision as I fell unconscious.
