millie's pov:

finn's birthday was two days away, and i still hadn't bought him a gift. he had basically everything that he liked, i had no idea. he constantly told me that he didn't want anything, but obviously i wasn't allowing that. he gave me everything, so i needed to get him a birthday gift. he couldn't not have anything.

amelia and i were looking for something for him. wesley and finn had gone to a different mall, purposely so they didn't see us. they were having a day of 'boys.' amelia didn't want to go with them, so i brought her with me instead. we were having a day of shopping.

"what should we get daddy? i can't think of anything." i asked her.

"i don't know. but his guitar got broken yesterday, so you could buy him a new one of those." she suggested.

"which guitar?" i asked, furrowing my eyebrows.

"the red one with black stripes." she said as we walked to the music store.

"how did he break it?" i asked.

"he was trying to teach me and he got up and dropped it, then it just broke." she replied.

with that, i decided to get him a new guitar. his guitars meant way too much to him to leave one broken. we walked into the music store, and to no surprise, one of finn's songs were playing. i smiled to myself, and amelia let out a laugh.

we walked up to the guitar section and looked around for a good guitar to get him.

"could i help you with anything?" a worker said as she walked up to me.

"yeah, actually. i'm looking for a guitar for my husband. it's his birthday in two days, and his guitar broke." i explained.

"okay, what guitar did he have last time?" she asked.

"it was a red and black bass." i said, "i don't know much about guitars."

the woman helped me find a guitar, and i picked it easily, with the help of amelia. it was purple and white. (picture at the top.) all together, it costed $366.50. i didn't mind spending that much money, it was for a good occasion. they put it in a box and handed it to me.

we walked out of the store, and amelia's eyes landed on one of the giant pretzel stands, which resulted in me paying another three dollars for one of those.

"should we go home now?" i asked.

"yeah, i'm tired." amelia replied.

we started walking out of the mall, and luckily, due to it being late, we didn't really get noticed. as we got outside, we noticed it was dark, and freezing. we had been in the mall for hours, shopping.

amelia had got a bunch of things, like christmas cards that she was writing for her friends at school, random little toys and candy. she got in the car, starting to write out her christmas cards to the children in her class that she actually remembered the names of.

as we got home, finn's car wasn't in the drive way, so he and wesley were not home yet. we walked into the house, and amelia immediately kicked her shoes off and walked to her bedroom. i decided to sit down and watch tv. it was nine pm, and i didn't know where finn and wesley were, but they did say that they were going to see a movie, so i didn't mind.
