"Look who's smiling alone like an idiot. Is that Ms. Tuesday? Or Ms. Thursday?" Sweet Pea teased me and pinched my cheeks. "By the way, You have these letters in the mailbox" He handed me the letters.

"None of the above" I smirked and throw the letters in the trash can.

"Oh a new one? Damn Topaz, you're a player! Can you give me one hot chick?" Sweet Pea said and handed me his phone asking for phone numbers.

"Did Josie rejected you again, Pea? For the nth time? You're weak!" I teased him and his smile turned into a frown real quick.

"Oh hi, Cheryl!" I froze when I heard the name that Sweet Pea just mentioned. I just had a mini heart attack.

"Just kidding. Dude, You're still into her" Sweet Pea laughed and I glared at him.

"N-no. I don't like he-her anymore" I replied.

"You can't even pronounce "No" and "Her" right. So yeah, you still like her so bring Cheryl back for pete's sake. Besides, the serpents need her, She's an expert archer" He smirked at me. Why am I getting mini heart attacks whenever I hear her name? Or even talk about her?

"No. I'm good, Pea. So can you please stop teasing me?" I said. This topic is so awkward.

"If it weren't for her carrot head mother, You'd be married by now" He said and I felt the pain.

It's been 5 months since our breakup and our last conversation. I was so broken, lost, depressed, anxious. I really loved her, And I will always love her even though we're not together anymore. You don't give years of your life to someone without giving them your heart right? But, I became a mess because of the mess that I've made. I became addicted to jingle jangle, an alcoholic, a womanizer. Now I have to pay for all of this.

I just got home from a 4-hour drive, tired and hungry. I went to the city to buy a diamond ring for Cheryl. Finally, I'm gonna ask her to marry me. After all these years of gaining courage, I'm finally asking her.

*ring ring*

"Hello?" I said.

"Toni? Is that you?! Don-"

I heard a girl shouting my name but before she says anything, someone interrupted her.

"Ms. Topaz, I don't have to introduce myself. You already know me. "

I could recognize that voice anywhere. It's Penelope Blossom. But I thought she's dead years ago? They reported that her body was found at sweet water river back then.

"Penelope Blossom. I thought you're dead?" I'm so confused.

"I faked my own death. As simple as that. I don't need an audience when I execute my plan. I spent years trying to find this girl right here, I don't have any connections with her but since she tried to steal my deviant child's heart before, She have to pay the price. Now, let's skip the small talk and move on to business talk"
