TONI'S POV.

I looked up and then I saw Cheryl. She sat down beside me and rubbed my shoulder.

"Toni, Are you okay? You're so drunk. Let me hel-" She said and still rubbing my shoulder.

"I-I miss you" I interrupted her. I don't know why it just came out. She looked at me.

"Your red lips, your sparkling eyes, your goddamn body. All of you. I can't do this anymore. Save me please, save me from this darkness" I finally said it and then I hugged her while tearing up.

"I miss you too, Topaz and I will save you" She whispered and hugged me back. Well, that's new? She called me, Topaz?

After the hug, we looked at each other and the magic word just came out of my mouth.

"I love you"

"I love you too" She replied

And then, she kissed me.

CHERYL'S POV.

I parked my car in front of the Whyte Wyrm and saw Toni sitting outside. She looks drunk and I got worried. I was about to go to her and ask her if she's okay but a random girl came to her and sat beside her. I came back to my car and watched them from afar. They were just talking and this girl is rubbing her shoulders and hugged her.

That should be me...

Even if it's painful to watch, I just want Toni to be okay. Even if someone else is comforting her or giving her all the love and happiness that she deserves. After 5 minutes of hugging and all, the most painful part came.

They kissed. I can see that she's really happy with her so who am I to intervene? I started the car, and bolted out of the place.

After 20 minutes of driving, I found myself in front of Pop's Choc'lit Shop. I opened the door of the diner and found Betty, drinking strawberry milkshake alone. I sat in front of her and she never said anything. She's just looking at me, clueless.

"What cousin Betty? Am I not allowed to sit here?" I said.

"I know you, Cheryl. Come on, open up" She said.

"Where's Jughead? Why are you alone?" I said.

"Oh please, don't change the damn TOPic, Cheryl" She said emphasizing 'TOP' and she pronounced it as 'TOPE'

"Stop teasing me, Nancy Drew. You're not helping" I said.

"I won't stop until you tell me your concerns" She said and giggled.

"Okay then" I said and took a deep breath.

"I saw her, again." I continued and grabbed her milkshake and took a sip.

"I knew it. But let me guess, she's with another girl again?" She said and I just nodded.

"What's new right? Wait, you still send letters for her right? Do you get a reply?" Betty added.

"Yes and No, It's like she completely abandoned me. She acts like I was nothing, Like I meant nothing" I simply said.

"You're worth it Cheryl. But sometimes, we're too blinded about wishing or hoping for something to happen or come back. Too blinded that we can't even see the bigger picture anymore. Maybe, You guys aren't endgame?" She said and took her milkshake back.

"Stop trying so hard for people who don't care anymore, Cheryl" Betty added. There was a 10-minute silence until Jughead came and sat beside Betty.
