Fourteen

"That it's been 2 months since i was healed"

Toni overheard what Veronica just said and started to clench her fist and her jaw. She just froze for a minute and opened the door. She saw Veronica standing up, looking fine and Hiram and Hermione is sitting at the couch in front of Veronica.

When they saw Toni, Veronica immediately sat down, trying to look in pain.

"Toni, welcome back darling" Hermione said and Toni just ignored it.

"You look fine, V" Toni said.

"If that means, i look beautiful then thank you. You never fail to make me smile babe" Veronica said and Toni sarcastically smiled. Hiram and Hermione went out of the room and leave the two behind.

After they close the door, Toni walked towards Veronica.

"How are you feeling?" Toni asked and Veronica held her hand.

"A little dizzy that's all baby" Veronica said and was shocked when Toni pulled out her hand and smirked.

"What a good actress" Toni said and Veronica stood up.

"And then suddenly you can now walk?" Toni said and Veronica walked towards her to hug her but she rejected her.

"Baby, i just want us to get married first before i tell you the news. So you can't turn your back anymore" Veronica said and cried in front of Toni.

"If that's your reason to lie, then i guess you don't really know me at all Veronica" Toni said.

"I did it for us, believe me" Veronica said, still crying.

"What about my freedom? My time that i waisted for this shit? I did everything that you said, i broke all the serpents law for you. I shut everyone out even if they're my only family. If you just told me the truth, i'll still be right beside you and support you but guess what? You just made a reason for me to leave you. You did it for yourself" Toni said.

"So you're not happy to know that i'm already healed?" Veronica said.

"The fact that you have to hide that and let me suffer just for your desire to get married isn't fair. It is called selfishness, V. You stole my life from me. There are times that i really want to take a rest because i'm so drained and exhausted but i can't because all i'm thinking was you. Do you think that's something to be happy about?" Toni said. Veronica went speechless and still crying.

"The wedding is off" Toni said and bolted out of the place. She just left Veronica crying.

After Toni slammed the door, she immediately called Jughead and he immediately picked up...

"Toni? Wh-" Jughead didn't finished his sentence because Toni interrupted him.

"Juggy, where's Heather?" Toni said while walking down the hallways of the hospital.

"Oh, she's not in Riverdale anymore. She went to Greendale to pick up Nana Rose" Jughead said.

"Oh shit... is she still coming back here?" Toni asked. She just went out of the hospital, walking towards her motorbike.

"I guess not. She will go back to New York with Nana Rose soon. Why are you asking those questions?" Jughead said.

Toni paused for a second...

"I waisted so much time and effort for the wrong girl, Jug. I'm fucking going to Cheryl and give her all the love that i could give, SHE'S MY FOREVER" Toni said and went on her motorbike. She dropped the call and went to the Wyrm to ask for help. After a couple of minutes, Toni arrived at the Whyte Wyrm and Jughead, Sweet Pea and Fangs are waiting for her outside.

"Heather won't pick up my call... what are you going to do now?" Jughead immediately said after Toni went out of her motorbike and walked towards them.

"I don't know where to start, i'm still so lost right now" Toni said and Sweet Pea rubbed her back to comfort her.

"All i know is, i have to see Cheryl and apologize for all the mistakes that i made" Toni said.

3 days after...

At New York...

"I'm home!!" Heather shouted and all of them stood up to greet her.

"Welcome back Heather!" Betty said and hugged her and was shocked that she's with Nana Rose.

"Nana Rose!!" Betty said and also hugged Nana Rose.

"Where's Cheryl?" Heather asked while bringing in Nana's luggages.

"Oh she's at her room, sleeping" Kevin said and helped Heather.

"Let's just let her rest for a while. In the mean time, let's watch netflix series and cook popcorn then we'll wake her up when everything is ready" Heather said.

After an hour, they were finished setting up.

"Hey Kevin, please wake Cheryl up. The show is about to start" Betty said while carrying the popcorn and Jossie is sitting beside her grabbing some popcorn on Betty's bowl.

Kevin went inside of Cheryl's room and tried to poke Cheryl's cheeks but she's not waking up. Kevin tried it again and again but she's really not waking up. He began to feel anxious and called Betty and Jossie.

"G-guys!!!! Cheryl is not waking up!!!!" Kevin shouted. Betty and Jossie immediately went into the room and saw Cheryl just laying down the bed. Betty came closer to Cheryl and put her fingers in between Cheryl's upper lip and nose to feel if she's still breathing...

She's not...

Betty began to cry while shaking Cheryl and slapping lightly her cheeks. Kevin and Jossie was shocked.

"Cheryl!!! Wake up please!!" Betty said while shaking Cheryl.

"Call Heather right now!" Betty shouted at Kevin and he immediately went upstairs to inform Heather about the situation. All of their hands are shaking and they can't even speak properly. They all cried and Betty held the cold hands of Cheryl and put it in her cheeks and cried.

Heather ran down the stairs and immediately went to Cheryl's room and saw what happened.

She just went blank. Her heart starts to break.

"No no please. Come back" Betty said and cried again. Kevin hugged Jossie and they just cried for a minute and then suddenly...

*ding dong*

Someone's at the gate. Kevin went out to see who it is and he saw...

TONI TOPAZ

He immediately unlocked the gate and Toni saw Kevin's puffy eyes.

"Kevin, what's wrong? You look like you cried?" Toni asked, cluelessly.

Kevin didn't replied back, instead he directed her inside the room. Toni was excited at first but when she heard then crying at a room after going in, she started to run out of breath...

"No no" Toni whispered in herself while walking towards the room.

As she came closer to the door, she can already see all of them, crying.

Her heartbeat stopped when she saw a beautiful redhead girl, just lying down her bed.

She ran towards her and hugged her tight. Everyone including Heather was shocked that Toni was there.

"N-no" Toni said while hugging her.

"Don't do this to me, Cheryl. I can't lose you" Toni cried still hugging her.

"I love you, my redhead girl. Please wake up"
