Ten

Kevin, Betty, Jossie and Heather are having a slumber party at Cheryl's place. They ordered pizza and bought a bottle of champagne. They were just having fun, watching netflix series, catching up and all. Cheryl felt so genuinely happy for the first time in months, since that breakup. After an hour, they already finished watching and got bored so they decided to play a game called "Two Truths and a Lie". They first played rocks-papers-scissors to know who will be the first one to state their truths and lies. Kevin lost the game so he will be the first one to speak.

"Two truths and a lie. First, I am gay. Second, Moose and I are still together. Third, I'm still virgin. Which one is a lie?" Kevin said and Betty immediately raised her hand.

"That's so obvious. The third one is a lie. You expect us to believe you when we know that you're still cruising at the fox forest?" Betty said and they all laughed.

"Wrong, the second one is a lie" Kevin said and sat beside Jossie.

"Moose and I broke up a while ago because someone told him that i'm still cruising" Kevin said and Jossie hugged him to comfort him.

"I'm still shocked that the third one is true. That you're still a virgin" Heather said just to lighten up the mood and they all laughed. Cheryl suddenly stood up in front of them to take the next turn.

"Alright, two truths and a lie. First, I'm so happy right now. Second, I'm moving out of Riverdale next week. Third, I'm hungry" Cheryl said. Heather and Betty already knew the answer but chose not to speak and let Cheryl tell them the truth. Jossie raised her hand and answered.

"Easy, the second one is a lie. I know you can't go anywhere without leaving Nana Rose behind. Without leaving us behind because you love us and Riverdale is your home" Jossie answered with confidence. Cheryl took a deep breath before revealing the answer.

"Wrong..." Cheryl said and leave Kevin and Jossie speechless.

"The third one's a lie. We just ate pizza and drank champagne like 10 minutes ago so i'm not hungry anymore" Cheryl said to lighten up the mood but they seemed shocked and they're still not talking.

"Guys? Yo?" Heather said and clapped to draw their attention to her.

"Am i hearing this right, Cheryl? Are you really leaving?" Kevin said and stood up.

"Y-yes. I will move to New York with Heather and her boyfriend who has a house there. Will probably live there, forever" Cheryl said with sadness in her eyes. All of them stood up and hugged Cheryl while in tears.

"Okay, enough of the drama. Let's just have some fun" Cheryl said breaking the hug and they all sat down while wiping their tears out.

"Betty, you will take my position as student body president and will be the new captain of the River Vixens. I already talked to Principal Weatherbee about this" Cheryl said and all of them clapped at Betty.

"Awww. Are you serious?" Betty said while smiling at Cheryl.

"Yes. Thank you for protecting me and for continuously choosing me over Veronica even though you guys are best friends" Cheryl said.

"You are my cousin and of course i will choose you" Betty said and stood up to hug Cheryl.

After that moment full of hugs and tears, they all decided to sleep and rest. After several hours, Cheryl's phone rang and she immediately went out to answer her phone.

"Cheryl..." a girl said.

"Who's this? And why are you calling in the middle of the night?" Cheryl said and sat down at the couch in her living room in front of her fireplace.

"This is Hermione" she said. Cheryl was clueless at this moment.

"And?" Cheryl asked.

"I just wanted to apologize about what Ronnie did to you" Hermione said sincerely.

"You don't have to do that for them" Cheryl said and she's already feeling weird about what is happening.

"I feel like i should because i'm going to ask you a favor" Hermione said.

"What is it?" Cheryl asked and stood up.

"Please let my Veronica be happy with Toni. She needs it right now more than you do" Hermione said and left Cheryl speechless.

"Veronica is sick... Stage 3 gastric cancer, we just found out a while ago and i think happiness and love can prolong her life and as a mother, i will do anything for her. I hope you understand me"  Hermione said and Cheryl's heartbeat became faster and couldn't speak more. Heather came down to check Cheryl and saw her standing in front of the fireplace talking to someone over the phone. Heather just watched Cheryl from afar.

"Me and Hiram are so desperate to seek for possible solutions and answers to prolong her life and i think this will work. So please, Cheryl... Let them go" Hermione said.

"O-okay" Cheryl simply said and ended the phone call. She's running out of breath and can feel the pain in her chest. She sat down on her couch trying to catch her breath and Heather immediately sat beside her and rubber her back.

"Cheryl, are you okay?!" Heather said while looking at Cheryl trying to catch her breath. Cheryl just looked at Heather.

"Cheryl talk to me! What are you feeling??" Heather shouted at Cheryl and Kevin, Jossie and Betty immediately went downstairs to see what is happening and they were shocked to see Cheryl, looking pale, her lips are turning white, she has tears in her eyes, she's running out of breath and then suddenly lost her consciousness and landed on Heather's shoulders. They ran to Cheryl and try to wake her up but nothing is happening.

Cheryl passed out.

CHERYL'S POV.

I woke up, wearing this hospital gown again, at this bed again. I don't want to go back here but here i am, AGAIN. I glanced at my right side and saw Heather sleeping while sitting at a stool. After a while, my personal doctor just went in my room and greeted me...

"Good morning, Ms. Blossom. How are you feeling?" He said and Heather woke up because of that.

"Why am i here again?" I asked feeling irritated.

"Cheryl, we have no choice but to bring you here. I thought we're already through with that V&T issue? It's not good for your heart!" Heather scolded me.

"The last time that you came here to see me was 3 months ago. It is when you first found out that you have 'hypertrophic cardiomyopathy'. You just took your medication twice and never came back. You should visit me regularly because that disease isn't a joke i'm telling you. What happened last night? Is a close call. You should be dead by now if not for Heather and your friends" the doctor said and I didn't said a single word. I just listened to them.

"That's why i'm suggesting you to move to New York and have your medications there. I already contacted my friend and she's waiting for you for 3 months now. What taking you so long?" the doctor added. I nodded.

"We're already working that out doctor. We're moving out of Riverdale next week" Heather said and the doctor nodded.

"Look, it's time to face facts that you CANNOT feel extreme emotions like pain and depression anymore. Your heart is too weak for that, Cheryl" the doctor said and Heather rubbed my back for comfort and I just nodded.

"Try to find someone who can provide happiness and love to you. Maybe we can prolong your life for that" the doctor said and went out of the room...
