In the bustling markets of Rabat
I was making my way through the stallsAs I savoured the smells of Saffron and Cumin
They approached me, these men of Al-MuminMy reputation preceded my arrival, it seemed
For they spoke to me as an old friendWe call on you hereby, to offer your service
To the great Caliph of AlmohadThe most honourable task will be laid in your hands
You shall journey and conquer new landsAnd when you return
A victorious man
The Caliph will award you
An abundance of landYou shall be provided
A fleet of great shipsAnd soldiers
To your heart's contentAs you cross the Gibraltar
The Spaniards will scornMocking this feeble attempt
But their tongues will be silenced
When we show our true forceAnd then soon, a new world will be born
