I quietly weep
As I find myself yearningFor the shores
Of my beloved SalamisThe muffled sound of
Restless wavesThose peaceful
Clear blue waters
~I fall to ground
As instant grief
Threatens
To consume me~
The sudden shift
When peacefulnessAmongst settlers
And their parishTurns to fear
And disbeliefAs dreams and hope
Are shattered
