Seventeen – Addison
"I don't know why you're still so upset right now Addi. We've talked about this all night." I wasn't actually upset at this point, more hurt and I just didn't want him touching me or my bag at the moment. I needed my space after what happened before the game last night.
"Really? No clue why Houst?" He rolled his eyes exasperated. We've been fighting for almost 12 hours. It wasn't good. We've been together almost 6 months, I've been to plenty of press events, games both home and away. This all started at an away game last night, my mom told me she'd keep the kids if I could take off work so I could travel a little bit with the team. Not for long just for the two-game stretch that had before coming back home for a game then they went off for more away games.
"Yes really!" He threw his hands up in the air. The camera guy started to look over toward us on the tarmac but with the look I gave he quickly turned to the other guys.
"Oh my god!" It was terrible, we weren't even heading home yet, they still had another game tomorrow night before that happened. I had flown with the team for this small stretch a couple of the girls had. Thankfully including Tiana whom I've gotten closer to.
I lowered my voice the smallest amount. "You let...a girl...kiss you. I mean I don't know about you but when I'm in a committed relationship with someone I don't let other men kiss me. Top it off I was standing right there! I watched every part of it, and you had no idea I was even there! You didn't try to stop her Houston, you didn't push her away or tell her no you have a girlfriend. NOTHING! I can't do this." I huffed and started walking again but he grabbed my wrist. I spun and glared at him. "Let go."
"I had to watch Harley rubbing all over you."
"He is 18, and that's not even close to comparable."
"Whatever, we're just, were done. I can't do this shit." He shook his head as I pulled my arm out of his grasp and started walking. Giving a smile and wave to the camera man this time as I started up the stairs. Anthony was over talking to Houston when I turned to give him one last look. Then boarded and took a seat instantly looking out the window. I loved this man more than anything. I was holding in tears but I knew at some point they were going to betray me and start to fall, and that point was coming quick.
I felt him when he entered the plane. We were both very aware of the others presence like we were one split into two bodies. Before last night I knew that man loved me and the kids more than anything in this world. Then it happened, a gorgeous blonde grabbed his arm right after I walked away from him to go find my seat up front. She yanked it so he spun around to her and then slammed her lips up against his so hard...I watched until she opened her mouth to deepen the kiss then ran to my seat and stayed quiet the entire time. After the first quarter, he knew something was up and tried talking to me about it, but I refused saying we would talk after, and we did. Neither of us slept, we were just up fighting over and over again about it.
The seat next to me dipped and I didn't want to look over. I was forcing myself to keep my eyes out the window, wiping my cheek when a tear slipped over the ledge. An arm went around my shoulder and when I noticed the tattoos did not belong to Houston, instead Anthony, the damn broke. He pulled me into his chest hugging me tight.
"Shh, just let it out." I did, I sat there and soaked his suit jacket. He was walking in front of Houston when it happened, so he knew. I finally was able to force the tears to stop after about 10 minutes, but I didn't move. "He said he thought it was you at first, and when he realized it wasn't, he was horrified. Addison, he ran to the bathroom and threw up, we didn't think he was going to even play because he dry heaving so hard while trying to change, thought he broke a rib or something. He was sent to medical and all."
