Around a couple days later. No sign of Richie. No one heard of him, and he didn't show up to the party.

Day of the party, Richie's house, 4:40pm:

"HOW MANY FUCKING TIMES DO I HAVE TO TELL YOU?!!! GET THOSE DAMN CHORES DONE, DO YOUR HOMESCHOOL, AND CLEAN. YOUR. ROOM."

Richie jumped, his father had been yelling at him for the past fifteen minutes. Just because he didn't do anything today, since he had other things on mind, like Eddie. He thought it was quite stupid, for his dad yelling at him because he didn't do his chores. But I mean, this is his life. At home. And he hated it. At least at school he could escape.

"Start with the dishes, now."

He quickly stood up, and walked into the kitchen. His father pushing him a bunch of times to make him get there faster. He didn't cry like he usually would, he just held it in. Like he always did. Around his friends. His family. If he cried in front of his dad he'd hit him. So he learned to do what was told and to be quiet. His mom though, was better. She didn't know what went on with Wentworth and Richie. She worked a lot. And Richie never talked to her, even though he could stop it. He was too scared to do anything.

Anyways, he did all his chores, and cleaned his room. When he checked the time, it was around 6. He wasn't even aloud to go to the party, of course Maggie would let him if she was there. His dad didn't work as much, though when he did, Richie would have the time of his life home alone. Well, he'd usually be with his friends. He was currently sitting in the bathtub, with his knees tucked to his chest. He had been crying for a bit, he laid his head back and sighed.

"When do things get easier..."

A couple days later.

He was now biking around town, he passed by Stanley's house. And stopped his bike, and threw it to the side. He felt bad coming here after so many days, he didn't even come see Eddie after the incident with his mom. And he hated himself for it. But he found himself at the front door, he took a deep breath and knocked.

After a minute, it opened. Eddie stood there and just looked at him. Richie looked down, "Can we talk?"

"I don't know, can we?"

He took that as a no, and turned to leave. Then Eddie grabbed his wrist, "I'm kidding, yes we can." He sighed a little in relief, and sat on the steps. "I'm really sorry.."

He did too. "For? Not seeing me or disappearing for a couple days?"

He laughed a little, "I had my reasons." Eddie frowned at that, "I mean.. both."

He nodded, "Have you been eating?" "Yes. Now I don't wanna talk about me. What went on with you and your mom?" He turned to face him. "Well.. she said shit. Like always, and.. I was just done with her. I told her I-.. I mean, I told her a bunch of crap."

"And you haven't done that I'm guessing?"

"Mhm."

"Well good for you to standing up to her." He smiled, he thought Eddie was a very strong person. Stronger than him. He could never stand up to his dad. Or so he thought.

Eddie smiled back at him, then Richie reached his hand up to his face. "Is your eye okay?" Eddie blushed, and nodded a little.
