Chapter 6

The kiss lasted a little longer than.. both of them expected. Richie had his hands on Eddie's waist, and Eddies arms were wrapped around his shoulders. Richie backed up, so he was now laying on the hammock. Eddie was climbing on top of him, while they kept kissing.

Eddie pulled away first, he was smiling. Richie was too, "I-shhdwow." He was almost speechless. Both of them looked at each other, and they started laughing.

"You're umm.. you're a good kisser Eds." That made Eddie laugh harder. "Shut up I'm happy!" "I like seeing you happy." Richie smiled and kissed his nose. "Are you? Happy?" "Obviously Richie. Obviously." That made him smile more, and they switched positions. Richie on him now. "Can we cuddle?" "I'm sorry did I hear that correctly?? Did Richie Tozier just ask me to cuddle??" He turned bright red, "shut up.." he got comfortable and put his head on his chest, then started laughing.

"Crazy for me huh Ed's?"

"W-what..no..."

"Well your heart definitely doesn't say that," Richie laughed. Eddie wrapped an arm around him and started rubbing his back. "Hey uhm.. can I stay with you for a couple days?" Richie looked up at him, "Yeah..yeah, you sure?" He nodded. He didn't want Eddie at his house, it wasn't safe.

There was some silence.

"Something happened.. when you left." Richie gave him a concerned look, "do I really wanna know?"

"Probably not." He looked down, then Richie turned over and held his face. "Tell me what happened."

Eddie sighed, "The others were being.. rude. I know, but they were just joking. I'm not saying I wanna forgive them, I'm just saying-"

"Yeah, I understand."

"Anyways, Bill was being a fucking asshole though.. to put it simple. He said shit, I said shit. I told him in in love with you and-"

"In love with me?" Richie blushed, hard, he could tell Eddie noticed.

Eddie avoided eye contact with him, he expected Richie to make a joke or something and tease him but no, he just kissed him. More gentle then before.

"Me too Ed's," Eddie blushed. Omg omg omg Richie in love with me? Holy shit

After about a moment they pulled away from the kiss, but Richie kept his hands on Eddie's cheeks. Eddie held his arm, and rubbed it with his thumb. "What else were you gonna say Ed's..?"

"They laughed at me."

"What the fuck?! Our friends made fun of you for being gay, for liking me?! Wait..you're gay right?"

"Mhm."

"It's not a big deal, let's just think positive."

"You sound like my mother." He laughed, but didn't wanna ignore the question. "What did they say to you?"

"Rich, it's not a big deal. Cmon.." he tucked a strand of hair behind his ear. He sighed, "are you okay at least?"

"More than okay now." He received a smile from Richie, "Wait so.. are we like.. boyfriends?"

"What do you think we were?? Friends with benefits?"

"No no, just making sure you want this." He laughed, making Eddie roll his eyes. "You're such an idiot sometimes. But apparently I have a thing for idiots."

"Good." He pulled his face closer and kissed him again. The feeling of Eddie liking him back, and his lips against him. Just made him feel all giggly inside. He laid his head back on his chest, and Eddie put a hand up his shirt. Continuing to rub his back. Making him flinch a little, "that tickles." "I know." Richie smiled and closed his eyes, "Can't believe we're gonna be sixteen soon. It's crazy." He laughed a little, "I know, right? Then grade eleven." "Oh god. Im not prepared." "Me neither." They both got quiet again, but not that awkward quiet. The nice quiet, "Richie what's one thing you want to do? Just, before you graduate. Completely random, but just anything." "Well it's not that specific but.. yknow I've always wanted to go to prom with you. I've always wanted to just stand in the back of a truck, while we drive through a tunnel."

"And feel infinite? This isn't perks of being a wallflower." They both laughed, "Whattt?? I like that movie." "I know you do." He kissed his head.

Most of the night was them having small talk and cuddling. There was one thing they both knew at that moment, that they were happy. Richie was happy.
