"Tell me about them," Kyston asked in a soft soothing voice. It's crazy how easily I could talk to a practical stranger. My heart warms when he pulls my body closer or smiled at the silly things I told him about myself.

"Both of my parents got tired of always being on the move with their children when I was about four. We weren't the only one so we found a little spot, close to the city and close the rivers and where it had much space. We survived by cleaning people's houses, my dad worked at a bar to clean tables and take out the trash, my mother was the little town's laundry mart. My father and a couple of others taught the younger ones how to protect themselves because we had attackers and it was safer that way," I explained, playing with his fingers. "My sister and I, Siana, helped to make sure the kids got the best childhood they can. We went on fun hikes and we would go to the park on human territory, we even tried to making ice cream once," I laughed at the memory of our parents scolding us. Even Kyston was smiling.

"I didn't know about this, I didn't know rogues can be good people," Kyston sadly spoke apologetically, loosening his grip around my waist. "You can't make them leave, that place became there home and we have a life there, so many families, just please don't. You'll be doing something terribly wrong if you do," I hate the thought of all the families and friends separating in chaos because of Kyston's decision.
The thought angered me and my wolf and I felt her trying to take charge and protest against what was right. Kyston gripped my jaw forcing me to look at him. "You can't..." I clenched my jaw. Kyston studied my face as he nodded but for some reason, he seemed confused. "Your eyes are purple, how?" He asked, clearly shocked, and more confused.

Oh shit.

I take back complete control from my wolf so my eyes returned back to normal.
"It's normal," I say and lay back down on his chest. "It is?" He asked. I gulped hard and tried to steady my heartbeat.

"Yeah," I lied.

"Huh. I've never seen purple wolf eyes before."

"Mom!" I shout as I ran towards her, my eyes watering in the process. She turns around, her eyes softening as she saw me before we both wrapped our arms around each other. "My baby is alright, I was so worried," she cried into my chest. I hate that I had her worried. "I'm alright, promise," I assure her as we pulled away.

"Avi," I heard the soft voice of my father before I was wrapped in his warm embrace. "You're alright," he realized and I couldn't help but smile. "We were so worried! That man just stuck the needle in you and took you away. I tried chasing after you but they held us down, I was so worried," My dad sadly said, his eyes searching my body for injuries. "Those stupid warriors were too fast for us, I'm sorry we didn't try harder," my mother answered but instead I couldn't care. I turned around with my hands balled at my sides. "You syringed me!" I screamed at Kyston who was happily watching the reunion. His face falls and he visibly freezes. My father growls behind me and pulled my mother closer to him. Fear comes over his face and I almost laughed. "Well I-I didn't, Tyler did," he stuttered, trying to defend himself "Under your orders," I huffed and turned back around to my parents. Kyston wrapped his arms around my shoulders from the back and rest his chin on my head.

"This is unbelievable..." my mother muttered to herself, probably putting the pieces of the puzzle together. "Is this your mate?" My dad asked slowly and I nodded.

"My name is Kai sir, I apologize for worrying you when I took your daughter but I needed her in my protection and I didn't know if she would have come with me back to the pack on her own," Kyston apologized sweetly, causing my heart to melt at how kind he truly was.

"He is a Royal," my dad states the obvious in a whisper. "Yes sir, I'm a guard of the kingdom itself," Kyston lied.

Kyston and I both agreed that we weren't ready to tell my parents that their son in law was a king. The king. We decided to tell a white lie until it was safe to tell them. We had to come up with something believable because Kyston aura reeks of power and dominance. "So that means you work with the king," My father concluded, showing no emotion behind his voice. "Yes, dad," I replied. "I wish you all, I heard he can be a lot," my mother politely smiled and I could tell she was trying not to offend him.
"Yeah well, the king is really possessive over What's his," Kyston chose to respond with. I inhale sharply, knowing the actual meaning behind that.
