We were walking around the woods, in a nearby area with Kyston by my side and my parents next to me. They warmed up to the idea of Kyston even though they don't know who he actually was as yet. My heart clenches every time I think about him being the king. I can never be the girl he wants me to be and I would have to have a serious conversation afterward. Even if that means he rejects me.

A loud growl pulled me out of my thoughts. We all heard it causing the four of us to turn around, Kyston pushed me behind of him as he stood protectively in front of me.
"Thought I smelt a Royal," Siana says as she emerged from the trees. When she saw me, her eyes enlarges and she runs to hug me. Obviously, I had to move from behind Kyston to hug my sister. "I was about to cross the border for you!" She whispered to me and I hug her tighter since he was about to risk her life for me. "Thank you for not doing that, " I say since she would have been killed. "Okay Ana," mom says and we pull away. She stands with my mother, her eyes glued on Kyston as she studied the man next to me.

"Please don't tell me... no," My sister back away slowly, shaking her head in denial.
"Your sister has met her mate? Aren't you happy?" My dad innocently exclaimed with and a proud smile on his face. "He is a guard for the royal castle," my mother informs me. I feel Kyston snake his hand loosely around my waist, afraid of being too touchy.

"A Royal guard? What bullshit is he feeding you?" My sister fired. My eyes widened at her outburst and I had no idea what to say. "Watch your mouth!" My mother scolded in a warning. "He's definitely a Royal, not just any royal, the Royal," My sister smirk and looks at Kyston's hand around my waist. His cover is blown. Kyston just stands there, allowing the chaos to unfold. It's too late to intervene. "What do you mean?" My mom asked, confused. My father's eyes were asking the same.

"He's the king," she rephrased.

"Wh....what?" My mother leans into my father like she was about to faint. "Tell me this isn't true," My father looks at me.

Why the hell was I feeling scared? I had no reason to be scared.

"It's true," I say with a sigh.

"Can we go somewhere more private, I don't need anyone hearing us," Kyston whispered to me. "Nobody won't I already took care of that, " I assured him. He furrowed his eyebrows but turned back to my parents. Thankfully he didn't question it and tore his eyes away from mine. "Are you paying my sister?" She asks Kyston and then turns to me," we don't need the money that bad sis, we can manage," she soothingly tells me. My eyebrows furrowed and I feel my hands fisting at my side.
"Nobody is paying anybody!" I shout at my sister. It was my wolf talking, she didn't like what she was implying of our mate. "Low down your volume Avira!" My father scolds. "Nobody can't hear us," I say again and he stays quiet.

"So you're trying to tell me that king Kyston is actually your mate?" My sister says, still not believing it. Even I still can't believe it. I walked out of a castle this morning, I took hours to wrap my head around that. "Believe what you want but she is my mate, I am Roland Everan's eldest son, making me the king," Kyston says to my sister with pride in his voice. She gulps hard and steps back, closer to my father. "Sorry your highness," she apologized. My eyes scanned both of them and they all were still so shocked and surprised. They couldn't believe the scene in front of them. "That's Kyston to all three of you," he smiles.

"Now that you all have found out sooner than expected, I'm afraid to say that Avira would be with me in my castle, without another discussion," he stated and I rolled my eyes. That's not happening at all, I'm staying with my family and he cannot control that. "But there is a house cabin with your name on it close to the castle," Kyston says, having us all jaw dropped.
