Kyston
"What to you mean?" I question her and she playfully rolls her eyes. "I just think that pink would look better," she smiles. Just as i was about to reply, I received a phone call. I groaned before accepting it even though I didn't want to.
"Your Highness, the missing rogue is captured and is knocked out in the cellar as we speak," my second highest warrior say, taking me by surprise. "Thank you so much, Riker, I'll be there," I say before I ended the call.
"What's wrong?" Avira asked, furrowing her brown eyebrows, her sweet and angelic tone told me she was worried. "Remember the that escaped?" I ask her. she looks into her memory before nodding and I continue," we found her."
"Stay here with me, Spade can handle it or something," she suggested, tugging at the hem of my shirt. "I can't, it's my job, I'll be back," I sighed, kissed her forehead before walking out of the room with my mate pouting. As I entered the hallway, I got another open mind link from Riker.
"Your highness, Beta Spade just commanded me to leave the cellar with the rogue inside. He was very angry and I just found out that he was the last one to go into the cellar before the rogue went missing," he says. I was so confused but my hands rolled into fists anyways. Why would Spade do this? It makes no sense. The only conclusion I could draw was that he was helping the rogues.
Avira Tamen
"What's wrong?" I asked Kyston after he jolted off the bed. "Remember the that escaped?" He asked and I did, that was the day he was worrying in the kitchen so I nodded. "We found her," he continued.
"Don't let him leave!" Everly screamed at me. I was so confused as to why so I ignored her. "Trust me, Avira. Don't let him leave! Please," she continued to beg. I was confused but I gave in anyway. "Stay here with me, Spade can handle it or something," I suggested while my hand gripped on his shirt. "I can't, it's my job, I'll be back," he sighed, kissed my forehead sweetly before turning around and walked out.
"Run after him!" Everly demanded. "Why?" I asked her, wanting to know why something was wrong. "I don't know but all I know is you need to protect our mate," she suspected.
Protect.
I sat on the bed debating what to do. Kyston could get upset if I follow after him and I don't even know if I could find the cells. I take my bottom lip into my mouth as I began to think, pushing away Everly. The thought of Kyston being hurt had me running out the bedroom door after Kyston.
