My heart was racing as I stepped into my parent's cabin. After getting Kizara's DNA sample I knew I needed my parents to test it in the lab. Well, I wouldn't be testing it since I have no idea how to but Kyston's scientists will be. I mostly needed my father's sample. It's my father's family legacy that has been passing down. The only thing I could of thinking about was my father cheating on his mate. I didn't want to think that because it made me confused. How could my father, a rogue, cheat on my mother with the Luna of the royal pack's third in command pack.

"Hi," I announced to my parents. They both stood up from where they were sitting on the sofas watching a movie to hug me. Of course, I hugged them back. I missed them. I can't even look at my father for too long because then I think of him cheating on my mother who has done him absolutely nothing but showered him with love.

I just need to know the truth. The sooner the better.

We sat back down and had a conversation filled with us checking up on each other. Unfortunately, I remembered the purpose of why I was here and I immediately held my throat. "You guys have anything to drink?" I asked.
Maybe if I could get a cup or something that they drank out of.

"Yes, I could do with a glass of water," my father told himself," what do you two want?" He asked as he got up. My mother and I both said water as well. I needed to be with Kyston very soon. He needed me to make the broadcast about the fire of the pack. It was very difficult for him to do, I never knew it would have affected him this much but I'm trying to be there for him.

"Thanks, Dad," I gratefully accepted the class of water and sipped on it as we watched a random show on television that I had no idea what it was about. My eyes shifted to the empty glasses in my parent's hands. Perfect.

"I'll wash these up and I'll go, I'm sort of busy today," I say, standing up and grabbing their glasses, making sure to memorize who's glass was which but I know the scientist could tell a difference from male and female DNA.

"Alright, come back soon," my mother smiled as we said our goodbyes before I left.

"Thank you, Jean, I really appreciate it," I truthfully say as I let go of the scientist's hand that introduced himself to me as Jean Page. Kyston snaked his hand around me as we were about to leave. "It's my job, Queen Avira, it will be ready in a couple of hours," he replied, my heart warming at the title. "Great, see you then," Kyston smiled kindly at him before we both walked out of his lab. "It's gonna be okay, don't worry," he assures me and I managed to smile. "I hope so..." I trailed off, my mind was consumed with so many thoughts. There was a perfect explanation for Kizara being a hybrid. I know it.

I stopped walking, causing Kyston to worriedly turn back to me. I look into his eyes and I smile. "I never got to thank you for staying with me after you find out my secret. I know it was hard for you, being king and all. I guess part of me thought you wouldn't have accepted me after that so thank you for proving me wrong," I say, almost rambling. Kyston smiled, almost grinning as he took a step to me and placed his hand on my cheek as he leaned down to peck my lips.
"I wouldn't reject you even if I wanted to, which I don't, you're amazing and I just want you all to myself," he says, looking into my soul.

My heart flutters as his touch and scent enveloped me, I felt so contented despite my family drama and Kyston always manages to make me smile. It didn't take a genius to know that I was falling for him and I didn't want to stop because I know he would be there to catch me.

Life is finally going my way.
