Chapter Eleven || Alpha Adrian

I've had all night to think and I realized that I shouldn't hold it against Kyston. Why? Because the heat was in the past. Sure it hurt at first but I got over it and I can't stay mad at him forever. His pleading eyes haunted me and I wanted to go over to his room and hugged him already but I held my composure.

I used the excuse that I was hungry to go and find Kyston. I hadn't eaten in a while and I wouldn't want to upset my mother by starving myself. Again.

After showing and slipping into a shirt that had a few holes and long leggings, I got out of the huge bedroom and walked down the hallway.

Please don't get lost. Just follow Kyston's scent. The closer I got to the stairs, I heard chatter coming from the living room. Well one of them. I carefully went down the stairs. Kyston's laughter filled my ears and I ignored my wolf howling in my head. It was a pleasant sound that made my heart warm.

Investigating further, there were two other unfamiliar scents with him. I scrunch up my nose in confusion, wondering who they could possibly be. The closer I got to the kitchen, I realized that the room had a powerful aura around it. The two guests were powerful people.

"You're hiding something from me," the new voice says, his voice was mature and deep. "I smell her, have you started back sleeping around?" He added accusingly. My heart clenched and I brushed the thought away. I was over that. "No, I haven't," Kyston replied softly. "She's outside," A woman said and her scent got stronger. By her delicate voice, I knew she was beautiful.

"How do you know that?" The male asked the girl. "I'm pregnant, my senses are stronger," she brushed off as if it was old news. The door opened more and there she was. Medium length, dark brown hair with lighter tips at the end, she had average height and her stomach hid a baby away from us.

She was beautiful.

"Hi! You're so pretty!" She beamed with a wide smile. "I know right," Kyston mumbled. My eyes met his, he had a cup in his hand as he leaned against the counter. I quickly looked away to the pregnant girl in front of me.
"Sorry for disturbing, I'll go," I mumbled, feeling like I was intruding before trying to leave the kitchen but the sound of my mate's voice pulled me back. "Avira!" He called and suddenly I felt tingled wrap around my wrist. I turn around to see the warm and soft eyes of my mate. "Stay," he whispered. He grabs my hand slowly and interlocked our fingers, not removing his eyes from mine cautiously and silently asking me if I mind but I didn't. We walk back into the kitchen where the two people were waiting. The girl had a smile on her face with the male's hands around her as he pressed his chest to her.

"This is Alpha Adrian and Luna Avyanna," he introduced. She smiled wider," just call me Anna and just saying in advance, he can be a grouch so ignore him," she pointed to his mate who only rolled his eyes at her.

I wanted to say something back but I couldn't. I didn't know what to do. "What did you do?" Anna asked Kyston with her arms folded at her chest while she wore a serious face. "What do you mean?" He asked innocently.

"She had the look I had when I found out Adrian had mated with another hoe before me," she scoffed. My eyes widened. So it was a normal thing?

"Men are fools," I surprised myself by saying, pulling my hand out of Kyston's.

"I can only imagine how hurt you were. Did you have to figure it out on your own?
It would such if you had to go through the added pain by yourself," I rant.

Why the hell did I just say that? I thought I was over this?

I already regretted it.

"Oh, honey," Anna's eyes softened before she hugged me. I was shocked but accepted the hug. "Thank you," I mumbled as we pulled away. I was afraid to look at the elephant in the room. "You're a dick," Anna flatly stated at Kyston. I was shocked by how normal she was being around the king.

"I know," he sighed as he walked in front of me. "Can we talk?" He whispered, placing a finger under my chin to force me to look into his eyes. I nod, I needed to tell him that I wasn't upset. At least not anymore. We walked side by side upstairs and into a room, I've never been in before but quickly realized it was an office by the computers, books and scattered paper on the desk.

"It was normal for people to go at parties in high school and when you're upset, you do stupid things with girls that throw themselves at you, I don't even remember their names less their faces or how it happened. It was just a way for me to get a distraction from the pressure of going to be king. But none of that matters now because I have the beautiful eyes of my mate and I'll do anything to make it up to you. I'm sorry that you had to go through the heat alone and I'm sorry my younger self caused you more pain," he apologized," just please forgive me, I can't take those disappointed eyes you showed me yesterday," he added with sad eyes.

Not knowing what to say, I rather show him another way. I fisted my hands into his shirt, bending his neck slightly as our lips collided. He froze for a second before placing his hands on my hips and kissing me back, gently. His lips were smooth against mine as I quickly moved on them. My fingers skate up his chest and around his neck before slipping them into his hair.
His hair was so soft, I don't know why I did but I pulled on his hair and smiled into this kiss when he moaned. My tongue snaked into his mouth like a burst of fireworks erupted. His tongue was smooth against mine as they twirled, his hand pulling our lower halves together.

Unfortunately, we pulled away, foreheads still touching as our chest quickly rose and fell. "Trust me, love, when you see what I plan to do to this body, you'll be happy I have the experience," he breathlessly says as our chests steadied.

"Kyston!" I scolded as my cheeks tinted pink. "What? You know it's true," his smile turned into a grin.

"Shut up."
