The presence of a certain Khushi Kumari Gupta brought a big change in Raizada mansion. The gloominess was of olden days and even the countenance of Nani's face had changed a great deal. Now she was a happy old lady, always laughing to Khushi's jokes and her shenanigans. She got to spend more time outdoors doing the things she loved with the help of Khushi and Virat most of the times. Khushi also made sure that she surrounds Nani with young people with energy and all her efforts were greatly appreciated by the family although not everyone voiced their appreciation.

Not to forget that in every paradise there is a snake and so it was in Khushi's new found paradise. According to her, her villain was the great ASR of course but at least he was just a lion she got to play with especially when she decides to be a lioness herself where as the real danger was posed by the venomous vicious and cunning snake which was the aunt, Manorama. She had an allergy to others' happiness yet she spent her day searching for that happiness how bait in wrong places and with the wrong company.

The entrance of Khushi posed a threat to her freedom hence an instant dislike and hatred developed. She could see the potential in the young lady; the potential to be what she couldn't be, the potential of greatness, the potential not only to change the family but the world as well. The young woman was full of life and energy that rivaled its meaning.

With every opportunity that Manorama got, she tried to diminish Khushi in front of the family, kill her confidence, her jovial nature, tarnish her name, destroy her goodness but all for not. Her avenue was simple and straight forward, Nani. Nani will be the most affected one if Khushi doesn't do her work perfectly or don't give attention to her. The old lady will complain to the paymaster and this will cause the lion to roar and when it roared, all earth trembled even Anjali and Aman were afraid of that beast called ARS and thus most of the times, correction all the times they chose not to awake the beast.

In her plans, knowing the kind of a person her nephew was Manorama told herself there was no way Arnav will keep an incompetent employee. He was a man who believed in deals, profits and losses. If a deal doesn't cut it, he will cut it himself mercilessly. What she forgot in her well thought and executed plans was how intelligent ASR was. He wasn't a Harvard graduate for nothing, a billionaire to be fooled by mundane things and that cunning mind of his could read people easily and his Mami was no stranger to him. He knew her very well and excused her doings just because they had never caused him any trouble till date.

The tenth time Manorama came to complain about Khushi to Arnav he simply told her that he was ready to fire Khushi—which brought a huge smile on her face but just for a second as he completed his statement—on one condition and gave her a thick booklet.

'What is that bitwa? You know your dear Mami is not a friend of reading books. I'm only a very good investigator and that's why I am bond Manorama.'

'I'll help you Mami, that's a contract.'

'A contract?' she asked confused. Why would she need a contract?

'Yes, your contract similar to that of Khushi. Sign the contract, take over Khushi's job and her duties and she will be fired right this instant. Oh and don't forget that for breaching the contract I'm liable to pay her a million U.S Dollars and that will be deducted from your account every month until its paid up since you don't have that kind of money. I will send Mr. Roy so that he can explain some legal jargon to you and then you can sign once you are ready and Khushi will be out of our lives for good after all she talks a lot. What say Mami?'

'No, no bitwa, if your Nani is fine with that third class caretaker, who are we to say no? Let it be Arnav dear. All I wanted is someone from high class who will meet our standards. Was I wrong Arnav bitwa, tell me?' Manorama inwardly cursed Anjali for coming with that ONE MILLION dollar clause. There was no way she will let the middle class be a millionaire when she herself is not.
