***Hello friends. This is my first take on fan fiction writing and why not start with my favorite couple?

I love Arshi a lot and being non Indian, forgive me in advance. All I know about Indian life style is through watching TV and reading of course.

Please forgive the Grammer and spelling errors***

#Lets begin their journey#

‘Chote come home early please. I need to discuss something with you.’

‘Come on Di; do I look like I’ve some interest in your daily soap operas? I’m a busy man.’ Arnav said getting his jacket from the back of his chair.

Anjali gaped and closed her mouth instantly refusing her little brother to have the last word as usual. ‘Yes, yes you are a busy man and I know that you’re ASR but may you please leave your alias at work and become the son of this house when you are at home?’

Arnav rolled his eyes. Here comes the morning drama. ‘Di, stop eating my brains so early in the morning. That’s why you have a husband for that.’

‘Exactly but it looks like you are the one married to my husband rather than me and that leaves me to eat your brains only. Look you’re so eager to go to your office and spend time with my husband leaving your own sister at home.’

‘What the!! Di, are you crazy? I’m not gay okay.’

‘And how do I know that?’

Arnav looked at Anjali as if she had grown horns.

‘Leave all that and use your Harvard brain for once. All this time you wasted uttering your “What the!” I could have presented my matter to you and you would have solved it too.’

Giving up, he threw his coat back on the chair and sat down waiting for his lovely sister, to preach the old gospel.

‘Why don’t I just solve it already for I now the matter and cut the long boring story short; Di, I do not want to get married period.’

‘Don’t worry, I’m---’

‘Thank heavens you finally listened to me,’ Arnav said attempting to get up.

‘Sit down Chote, like I was saying, today I’m not going to talk about the marriage talk maybe tomorrow or in the evening perhaps.’ His jaw dropped. This woman was adamant. She never gives up. ‘I want to talk about Nani.’

‘What about Nani, is she alright?’ His voice oozed with care and love. If there was anyone he cared about in his life it was his sister and grandmother.

‘She’s perfectly fine considering. Anyway I was thinking that we should hire a nurse maid for her.’

‘Di, but you are always with her, why do we need an outsider, a stranger to take care of our Nani?’

‘Have you forgotten that I’m married and this is not my home? I do have a new family to take care of now.’

‘I know Di, but you can live here. I can take good care of you better than that good for nothing husband of yours.’

‘Chote! Be respectful he is your jijaji and this is not your office.’

‘Seriously Di, I can ask Aman to come and live with us and then we can be one big family. Let me call him.’ he said punching the phone buttons already.’

‘Put your phone down.’ Anjali spoke with authority of a big sister and Arnav could understand the matter was really serious. ‘Nani needs someone to always be around her and I can’t do that always. My in-laws are so understanding and not to mention my dear hubby and that’s the only reason I’ve been doing whatever I want. We can’t take their generosity for granted Chote and I’ve to be real daughter- in- law in every sense. Now that I’m pregnant---’

‘You’re pregnant? And why am I hearing that now Di? Are you okay? Do you need a doctor? Sit down why are you standing damn it?’

Anjali laughed her lungs out. Poor Chote, he needs education about these things. She decided to play with him a little. He was too stuck up for his age anyway.

‘No, I don’t need a doctor but I do need someone special, my Aman. Can you give him to me?’

‘I’m going to kill that man. Now all you know is Aman, Aman.’

‘Chote, you do the same too. You wake up calling Aman, the whole day its Aman do this, Aman do that and at night it’s still Aman. I’m so jealous of you two. Now tell me who has more rights on him, you or me? Wait until my bhabhi comes home, I won’t leave you to spend a minute alone with her.’

‘In your dreams Di, can we talk about Nani please, Aman is waiting for me.’

‘There you go again.’

Arnav rolled his eyes. ‘Di?’

‘All jokes’ aside, we do need someone we can trust with Nani, she is getting old.’

‘Leave everything to me, I will conduct an interview today itself.’

‘If that is what I wanted, I would have asked Aman myself. He is your go to man after all. Dear Chote, I already found someone. I was just letting you know. She will be coming this afternoon so you and your jijaji, you’d better be here for lunch. Am I clear?’

‘His name is Aman.’

‘Whatever.’

‘Give me the name of your so called nurse maid and I will run her name with my men to see if she is trustworthy. After all we can’t just let anyone in our house.’

‘No need for that. Mind you I didn’t hire her for AR but for Nani and my methods are different from yours. Now you can go, don’t keep my husband waiting.’

‘I think I will just do that. Is breakfast served?’

Anjali smiled knowing her tricks worked yet again. Whenever she wanted Arnav to do something, she will use Aman’s name and vice-versa. The two were so jealousy of each other when it came to her attention or when they think she is giving more priority to the other. The man who’d decided to skip breakfast was now asking for it.
