Soon enough even Date had showed up to the bar as per usual. He greeted everyone as he sat down on the stool besides you. He gave you a gentle nudge in the direction towards Akiyama, playing it off as a little bump into you as he sat down. You shot him a quick glare knowing all too well he tended to tease you when he could.

Mariko set down her husband's usual drink and smiled softly to his thanks. He took a quick swig before setting the glass aside. "Anything entertaining as of late you two?"

You shook your head and groaned. "Nothing worth reporting at the least."

Date nudged your leg closest to him with his knee. "I'm sure there is something you could find to share."

You hiss under breath at him to which he chuckles at. Akiyama looked over to you both and quirked an eyebrow. He could only chuckle at you two. It was like looking at a father and daughter.

"Wh-What's so funny?" you whipped around to Akiyama, your blush returning once again. His laugh and that smile were so mesmerizing. You looked into those brown eyes for a moment before quickly avoiding eye contact.

"Nothing, nothing. It's just that you too act so much like father and daughter."

  "What? No way," you whine.

Akiyama and you went back and forth for a short while before Mariko spoke up softly, smiling. "Would you two mind stepping out for a short while. I have private matter to discuss with Date."

Akiyama and you looked to each other and then back to Mariko. Before she even knew it, Akiyama was standing up, stretching his arms. "I'll be on the roof for a smoke in that case. Care to join me, _____-chan?"

Your blush returned once more upon hearing the nickname and nodded. You didn't smoke but you would follow that man to the ends of the Earth. Without hesitation you followed a few steps behind Akiyama like a lost puppy to the fire exit. You could hear Mariko chuckle and you knew why but you didn't have it in you to look back for you feared taking your eye off the man before you would make him disappear.
