This is Alright

  After a few glasses of wine, Akiyama and you had taken down the entire bottle he brought. He set the empty bottle and both empty wine glasses back into his briefcase, closing it.

  The two of you sat side by side, staring up at the night sky. The fresh night air from the countryside mixed with the burning of the candles Akiyama had set up. They were near gone but still managed to provide some light. You felt your eyelids get heavy as you scooted over a bit, resting your head on Akiyama's shoulder.

  "Is this alright?" you asked in a timid tone.

  "This is alright," he assured you. He reached up and patted your head to which he earned a groan. "Heheh, what's the matter?"

  "Sh...Shun."

  "Yes, ______?"

  Your cheeks heated up and you felt your ears burn. How did he honestly feel about you, you wondered. You coulddn't ask that though, it was far too forward. You had to think of another question. Your drunk mind didn't think before she called out. "I...I-"

  You were abruptly cut off but a sneeze, followed by a shudder running up you spine, thankfully. "S-Sorry."

  "You must be cold. I didn't tell you we were coming all the way out here prior. Here," Akiyama said softly. He removed his jacket and placed it around your shoulders. "How about we move this to Serena? Hm? A little warmer there."

  You looked at him, a bit dazed from the alcohol and you could feel the heat in your cheeks. "Shun...thank you."

  He chuckled softly and rolled up his sleeves before standing up, offering you a hand. Pulling you up, he wrapped an arm about your waist. "Any time," he whispered.

  On the cab ride back, you kept Akiyama's jacket on and you sat in the back besides him. You looked out separate windows but his fingertips touched yours.

  Kamurocho approached quickly and you two found yourself back in the bustling city in no time. Akiyama held your hand as you walked towards Serena. But something else had your heart go speeding off.

  You found yourself stopping and, tugged at Akiyama's hand. "C-Can we go somewhere else?"

  "Hm?" Akiyama turned to you and saw the blush and nervous look and he nearly melted. He couldn't help himself. "Awe, scared Date will be there to tease you?"

  "A-Akiyama..!"

  A mischievious grin danced upon his lips as he clicked his tongue. "Now _____-chan. I thought I told you to call me by my first name. If you keep this up I may have to set in place a punishment system."  

  "Wh-Wha..? A-Akiyama y-you-"

  "There it is again. Maybe I should take you to Serena after all. I can just sit back as Date and Mama tease you. Or perhaps," he trailed off.

  "Sh...Shun," you said quietly. The alcohol began wearing off slowly and the embarrassment set in. You'd never openly said his name and it felt weird to suddenly call him that.

  "Mmm, I suppose," he sighed dramatically. "I could take you to my apartment."

  "Pl-Please...!"

  "Please, who?"

  Your face turned bright red as the man leaned at the waist, grinning. He was enjoying every bit of this. You leaned back a bit to give yourself some distance but he leaned towards you.

  "Sh-Shun! Please, Shun."

  With a satisfied grin, Akiyama stood back up straight and took you hand in his again. "Mm, my place it is."
