Author's Message/Glossary:

Hello! I'm Crypto and I hope to bring you this story that I've been twirling in my head for a few days now. I only have the first two arcs figured out, but I want to make the story more than that. I also am brand new to writing on here so I hope that you will enjoy my work and provide constructive criticism so I can improve over time! I'm in college so my time varies, but I want to keep it to one chapter a week at the slowest to one every other day if I'm feeling creative. I personally love the omegaverse and BNHA in general. I also support all ships, providing my favorite ones to center around deku with any of his male friends. 

I also want to thank my good friend. He will go unnamed. Even though he does not like yaoi and erotic stuff, he offered to read through the story behind me and make corrections. Without him, this story would have more typos and mistakes.

Secondary Gender:

Someone discovers this around the same time they discover their quirk. It is found out by the person doing one of two things: Entering a rut, which signifies an Alpha. Entering a heat, which signifies an Omega. If nothing happens by one year after their quirk manifests they are considered a Beta.

Alpha:

Someone who has this secondary gender is known to be more dominant and has an instinct to take care of an Omega and make pups. They can make their voice commanding which has a strong effect on Omegas and a slight effect on Betas. They tend to be stronger overall and make up around 20% of the population.

Omega:

Someone who has this secondary gender is known to be more submissive and weaker. While this does not stop them from doing hero work, their instincts to listen to Alpha's voices and pheromones to make pups, they tend to stay away from physical jobs. They can be mated by an Alpha or Beta to make pups. For male omegas, they produce slick from their rectum, which is where male Omegas are mated. They generally have heats once a month differing slightly from Omega to Omega and they can suppress this with medicines and technologies produced to try to give them a normal life. They make up around 20% of the population.

Beta:

Someone who has this secondary gender is known to be generally the most normal of all three. They still have a slight instinct to listen to Alpha's voices, but it is not very strong. They are essentially normal humans and live their life like so. They make up around 60% of the population.

Scent Glands:

One of the mutations that humans developed when the secondary genders became a thing. Alphas and Betas have on on their neck and Omegas have an additional one on the bottom of each wrist. These can generally be controlled to a point by every person, with Alphas and Omegas having stronger scents and a harder time controlling theirs. Omegas naturally respond to Alphas and Alphas do the same. The Scent excreted from each person is unique to them and can change slightly depending on how they feel. Scent Glands can be marked permanently by an Alpha or for a period of two months by a beta before it has to be renewed. Omegas can mark as well, but it wears off after a week for most Omegas.

Marking:

The act of someone biting their fangs into someone else's scent glands. This in turn injects a liquified version of their scent which mingles into the glands and changes the chemistry of the person's scent. It also tends to dampen the strength of other scents, but heightens the strength of the injected scent. This is usually done to show ownership and is protected as a legal right for every person to choose who marks them and when. The punishment for Alphas is far worse due to theirs being permanent and irreversible, the punishment usually being death, castration, or permanent incarceration.

Rut:

A state of extreme arousal to the point of losing control that an Alpha enters upon either showing their Alpha gender or coming into contact with aroused pheromones of an Omega they have an extreme attraction to. This can last for up to a week unless sated through sex.

Heat:

A state that an Omega goes into about once a month. This state has a male's body produce slick and causes them to uncontrollably produce extremely strong pheromones to attract Alphas. Heats have strong times called "waves" which appear about once every 4-8 hours. During a wave an Omega tends to lose conscious thought and instinctively attempts to get fertilized for pups. If the waves are not stated they cause the Omega to feel cramps in their stomach which causes pain. Omegas are legally protected when in heat as any person who mates with an Omega without receiving permission to be their heat partner it is considered the same as rape. Omegas have a collar they can wear which stops their pheromones from spreading. A mini version of a heat can also be triggered through coming into contact with an Alpha they have an extreme attraction to.

Heat Partner:

Usually a close friend or mate of an Omega that the Omega trusts to get them through their periods of heat safely. They are expected to help the Omega through physical contact and to provide for their basic needs such as food, water, and bathroom usage. Being a heat partner is considered to be a special bond with an Omega.

Nesting:

When an Omega goes into heat, feels lonely, or distressed, they may feel the need to nest. Nesting is when an Omega unconsciously collects soft things such as blankets, pillows, and clothing, into a pile. Most commonly Omegas collect items with scents that they like especially from a Mate. Omegas become extremely territorial in their nests and is likely to attack anyone who steps foot into it without their permission. This has caused deaths to occur.

Rogue Omega:

A special type of Omega which decides it does not care to have pups or a mate. Usually this causes the use of an Alpha voice to cause extreme anger and sometimes aggression. Rogues are less affected by scents and their heats are extremely weakened. Rogues make up about 1% of all Omegas.
