Bakugo 1st POV
As I step outside and see the other heroes waiting for my arrival, my legs give way and I feel myself slipping towards a void I can't control. My vision fades and suddenly I am seeing myself with Deku. Together on a date, he's in a beautiful green suit that perfectly matches his eyes and hair. I have a suit that is red to match my own eyes, but the vest is blonde to match my hair. Deku's smiling and laughing along with me as we sit in the chairs of the table, but I'm not in my own body. It's like i'm watching from the sideline, seeing what could be my future.
The world fades and suddenly I'm standing in a hospital, Deku in obvious pain as he does something, but I'm not sure what. I'm actually in my own body this time and as Deku finally relaxes the doctor congratulates us and after a few seconds hands me a little baby boy. I show him to Deku and he smiles so widely at our baby. His face full of happiness is like candy to a kid, it's addicting and I can't get enough.
The world changes again and now I'm standing in a park with Deku. We're watching a kid play on the playground, his blonde hair and emerald eyes sparkling along as he runs and plays with the other kids. Deku is leaning on me as my arm is over his shoulders. He seems so excitedly happy and I just want to see him even more happy.
It changes again and Deku is crying a mixture of sad and happy tears as we watch our child go to their honeymoon and leave for college at the same time. I hug him as we wave at them leave, my own eyes beginning to tear as I smile down at Deku. We did good raising our child and they found someone they love.
As the world changes, I can feel my body changing and when I look at Deku he is old. We're sitting in a loveseat next to each other and cuddling. His still vermillion eyes staring up at me with his grey curly hair. It's a sweet sight to see that we grew old together and caring for each other.
The last change comes to me seeing Deku looking down at something, his elderly age showing clear as day on his body. The thing he is staring at is a gravestone with my name on it. It's a sad sight to see him crying over my grave and I walk over to give him a hug, my arms slightly go through him, but he stops crying suddenly and moves his arms over mine.
"Kacchan? Is that you?" Deku asks me.
"Yes Deku." I reply.
He sighs and puts his arms back down before he begins to walk away. A very similar man walks up to him and Deku hugs him before kissing his cheek and continuing along his way. I walk closer and see it's our child all grown up. He came to see my gravesite, I guess I must have died recently. Suddenly my vision fades to black.
I feel my body hit the ground and the shouts of the other heroes as they run to me.
~Izuku POV
Izuku walks into the living room and sits down on the couch as he turns on the television. The waiting is starting to wear on him. He lets out a sigh and flicks through the channels as a extremely bad feeling comes over him. A few seconds later a knock sounds at the door and the system informs him it's Aizawa, All Might, and Principal Nezu. Izuku walks to the door and opens it with a confused face since Aizawa being back means the mission is over.
"Izuku... We're sorry to..." The voices fade as Izuku realizes what happened.
Tears begin spilling from his eyes as he drops onto his knees and covers his face. Slowly beginning to sob, Aizawa walks forward and hugs Izuku. His understanding of the feelings is all but to a terrifying level from when the same thing happened to Present Mic. Izuku's sobs only get worse and Aizawa carefully pulls him to his feet before he leads him outside to their waiting car.
"Izuku we're taking you to see Bakugo." Aizawa says as he sits in the seat next to Izuku.
Izuku's too busy sobbing to listen to any of the heroes who came to give him the information. The car begins driving and Izuku slides back and forth with the turns so Aizawa hugs him again so that he is stable. After a few minutes, the car pulls inside the hospital lot and Aizawa pulls him out of the car and leads him inside to the waiting room. The doctor comes over and asks if Bakugo's mate has made it. Aizawa nods and gestures to Izuku but grabs the doctors arm.
"He's really unstable right now, so please choose your words carefully." Aizawa whispers and the doctor nods.
"Izuku, right?" the doctor asks.
"Y-yes..." Izuku replies with a broken voice.
"Alright, I'm the surgeon assigned to Katsuki and I wanted to inform you that we preformed emergency surgery when he got here. He is now stable, but his condition has not improved much. You can see him when you are ready." The doctor says and gives Aizawa the room number.
After a few minutes, Izuku wipes his face and nods to Aizawa as he stands up. Aizawa leads Izuku to the room and opens the door for him. Izuku walks inside and slowly makes his way next to Bakugo with a stunned face. The amount of medical bandaging around his body is intense and the machines are everywhere, but Bakugo's face is completely untouched. Izuku leans over and kisses Bakugo's forehead as he sits down in the seat next to his bed.
"I'm sorry Kacchan... I should have been there to help you." Izuku cries as he puts his head down on the side of the bed, "It's my fault for letting you go alone! I should have fought harder to go wit-"
Izuku goes silent as he feels a bandaged hand on the back of his head, "N-n-o D-deku... I-its n-n-not y... our fa-ult."
