Chapter 16: The Omega's Alpha Shock

 It's your room too... You're my mate.

A few more days pass before Izuku is released from the ward. Every time he sees an alpha he starts whimpering. If they stay too long he has a full on breakdown. The books and other resources that recovery girl looked through say that it is something called alpha shock. Essentially the Omega instincts in Izuku have been put through too much trauma recently at the hands of Alphas. So when it senses an Alpha's presence it goes into self preservation and makes Izuku lose control in fear. Allegedly it wears off within a week or two, but it's said to put a lot of stress on mates. The Omega has a conflicted reaction to an Alpha mate and can have one of two things happen, it will either have a full breakdown and completely lose control or it will become extremely attached to the point of not seeing it's mate or even one minute can cause it to break down. After the time passes, the Omega should be reintroduced to their mate. The Omega will be extremely analytical and unsure of themselves. If the Alpha gives even the slights indication of being unhappy with their mate, the Omega will believe themselves unfit and go into a spiral of self deprecation.

Due to the unsure possibilities they decided to keep Bakugo away from Izuku until it appears to have passed. Bakugo temporarily moved into his old dorm and Izuku isn't allowed to leave his room. As the days have passed, Bakugo has become more irritable and Izuku has slowly relaxed again. Izuku uses his gym daily and has his homework delivered daily. The class sessions are streamed to his room for him to watch.

The two weeks pass mostly uneventful and as the day for them meeting again comes around they both become nervous. Izuku drags himself out of bed at his usual time and takes a quick shower. He puts on a black shirt that says 'shirt' on it in white and some black jeans. He slides on his usual red shoes and heads out to the kitchen to eat breakfast while he waits for Bakugo. Bakugo woke up earlier than usual and went on an early jog to clear his head. After he finished that he took a shower and put on a red tshirt with black basketball shorts and pulled on some shoes. He checked the time and then headed for the lobby where he will meet with all might and recovery girl.

As Bakugo and his followers head up the stairs towards Izuku's room, Izuku is finishing breakfast and putting it out on the table. Gotta be sure I still look like I'm worthy of Alpha. After he finishes setting it all up he heads to the front room and takes a quick look around to be sure it's all clean. Once he is sure, he waits on the couch for them to request entry.

After a few minutes, the familiar bing sounds in the room and Izuku runs over to the door to open it for them. Bakugo is standing in the front with a green flower held in front of him. Izuku freezes upon seeing it and starts tearing, but quickly wipes them away and opens the door for them to come in. Once their all through the door, he closes it and leads them to the kitchen. Upon seeing that Izuku seems comfortable, All Might and Recovery Girl leave them together. Bakugo quickly pulls Izuku into a hug and shoves his nose into Izuku's scent gland.

Izuku sniffs his scent for a minute, then he pulls back and leads them over to the table. They sit and eat breakfast with comfortable conversation. After breakfast they watch a movie on the couch and relax for the rest of the day. As night comes around, Bakugo starts getting ready to head out, but Izuku protests.

"Why aren't you staying? It's your room too... You're my mate." Izuku says, looking down at the floor.

"I can't force my way back in suddenly. I simply can't it's not fair to you." Bakugo replies.

"A... Am... " Izuku's eyes start watering as he walks behind Bakugo to the door. Bakugo opens it and turns to say bye, but notices his tears as Izuku chokes out while closing the door, "I'm a bad mate, I understand if you want a different one. Bye, Katsuki."

Bakugo rushes back towards the door, trying to catch it before it closes as he shouts, "No! That's not what I meant!" But the door already closed.

Izuku hears Bakugo pound on the door, but he ignores it, too lost in sad thoughts to care. He heads back to his bed and flops down on it while he cries his eyes out. His heart churns as he covers himself with a pillow and lies there with no care to do anything. After a few minutes, Izuku rolls out of bed and goes out to the couch, laying on the floor in front of it and trying to fall asleep again, but before he can fall asleep he feels a sting in his neck. Yelling, he tries to get up, but quickly passes out.

~Bakugo

After Izuku closed the door, he bangs on it for fifteen minutes, begging Izuku to opens the door and trying to force the door open. He asks the console to open the door, but it says he has been deauthorized. Bakugo quickly runs out to All Might's office and bangs on the door. After a few minutes, All Might opens the door.

"I need you to open Izuku's door." Bakugo says.

"Why? What happened?" All Might asks.

"I accidentally made it seem like I was unhappy with him on my way back to my room." Bakugo says.

"Young Bakugo. We told you to be careful about what you did, don't you remember what happens now?" All Might asks.

"Yes. I don't want it to happen so I need into his room again!" Bakugo shouts back.

"Lets go then." All Might says as he steps out and walks towards Izuku's room.

As they reach the door, All Might tries to open it, but the system says he is deauthorized. He tries a few more times, but when it doesn't work he tries again. Hearing a scream from Izuku's room, All Might quickly powers up and knocks down the door. The last thing they see is a red portal and Izuku's green locks slipping through it. Bakugo shoots forward, but the portal is gone before he can make it through.
