Chapter 11: The Omega's Escape

The class nods and waits for instructions. Midnight quickly assigns sectors while Bakugo tries tracking his scent. After a few hours, nobody has anything and Bakugo keeps losing his trail. Hearing chatter over the radio, Bakugo listens in to hear something about them finding Izuku. Bakugo immediately runs to where they called his location. Arriving before most of the others, he approaches Izuku.

Izuku's eyes shoot open and he looks at Bakugo, pure fear on his face. His scent becomes laced with fear and distress within seconds.

"Deku, it's me. It's Kacchan. Calm down its just me." Bakugo calls, but suddenly his Alpha smells a scent other than Bakugo on Izuku and it immediately gets angry, "WHO DID YOU LET TOUCH YOU? Fucking slut letting anyone touch you." The alpha raises an arm at his mate.

"N-no-no... Pl-ple-please do-don't h-h-hurt me a-a-alpha." Izuku cries out in whimpers and sobs.

The Alpha steps forward, starting to swing his arm. Midnight runs over, finally arriving and pushes Bakugo back, "He's still in pure Omega, even when he comes out he still might be scared of you. You literally pushed him out of his own territory. Of course he's terrified of you. You made him run into the wilderness where anyone could have taken him."

Bakugo takes a few steps back, his face dotting with tears, "What have I done to my mate. He's terrified of me..."

Kirishima runs over to Bakugo and pulls him to the back of the group while Midnight turns to help Izuku. She slowly walks up to him, letting out a calming, friendly scent. As she reaches him he looks up at her, a mixture of fear and distress.

"Ple-please. Do-don't take me. I... I ha-hav... " He cuts himself off, tears falling down his face, "H-had a m-mate. I g-guess he d-d-doesn't wa-want me any-anymore. He p-pus-pushed me o-out of m-my ne-nest a-and se-sent me ou-out here." He tries to continue around sobs and whimpers.

Midnight tries reaching out to him, but he smacks her hand away and starts running again. She tells Iida to follow him, but stay at a distance and do not approach him. She walks over to Bakugo, who's face is pure sadness. She crosses her arms and stares at him.

"See what you've done? You're loss of control makes him think that A: His own mate doesn't want him anymore. And B: That he no longer has a territory and therefore he's terrified of everyone he sees." Midnight stands and waits for a reply.

"I don't know how to fix this." Bakugo stares at the ground, "I don't want him to believe that I don't want him. I love him."

"He's going to need time to recover, you've literally driven him to pure instinct. There's no Izuku in his head right now. It's all instinct trying to protect himself." Midnight replies, "Kirishima, take him back to the dorms. I'll have to use my quirk on Izuku to get him to safety."

Bakugo follows Kirishima towards the dorms. Kirishima being the supportive friends he's always been, he spends the whole walk telling Bakugo it isn't his fault. As they arrive at the dorms, Kirishima takes Bakugo to Kiri's dorm. Letting Bakugo lay in his bed, he instructs him to go to sleep. Kirishima heads to the kitchen to grab both of them water and a snack.

Flying out the window, the Omega immediately flicks his finger to land on his feet. After a few seconds he hits the ground, pain shocking through his body. My... My mate... Drove me out. He doesn't want me... The Omega runs towards the forest, the only unpopulated place he knows in the area. I'm a useless omega, my own mate doesn't want me. His thoughts continue swirling as he runs.
