"So what do you think?" I ask Miles who is laying on my bed.

Miles doesn't even make eye contact when he says. "Mel you always look good in whatever you wear. Plus I am a guy, so what do I know?"

"That you are a guy and you know what is hot."

Miles sits up and points at me like I am onto something.

"You're right. I am a guy and I do know what is hot. This outfit looks good and all, if you are going in for a job interview." He laughs

"Gee thanks a lot Miles." I can't help but throw a hanger at him.

"Ouch Mel, why do you have to be so violent?" Miles grins at me.

Our friendship involves a lot of banter and I guess some people would say flirting. I can't help that being friends with Miles is way less complicated than having friends that are girls.

"Go put on the white lace dress you wore last year." Miles smirks at me.

I cross my arms standing my ground."That white dress was part of my Halloween costume Miles."

"You can't deny a sexy angel costume." Miles winks at me before tossing a pillow from my bed at me.

"Hey watch it!" I yell

"Go change before Declan comes." Miles threatens me with another pillow. "Come on Mel live a little."

"Fine." I step back Into my closet digging to find the white dress that is way to revealing.

A few moments later I walk out of my bathroom "Sexy enough?" I ask.

I was feeling confident about how I looked. My hair is curled laying on my shoulders and I put on a touch of red lipstick on for a dramatic effect.

"Woah Mel,  you will have every guy staring at you."  Miles blushes and I can't help but feel flattered.

"Well Miles you did pick out the dress." I bow down praising his choices. I just hope Declan finds me attractive and that Miles isn't giving compliments to boost my confidence.

Miles walks over towards me and whispers in my ear.
"No one could make that dress look this good."

I felt a shiver down my spine. Miles always teases me and is flirtatious with everyone but this time is different.

We were standing there so close to each other as he takes in the view in front of him, when we hear a car honk outside.

"Well I better get going." I whisper

"We wouldn't want to make Declan wait now would we?" Miles steps back and I already hate the distance between us.

"My mom didn't make dinner tonight knowing about the date but you are more than welcome to raid the kitchen and eat whatever you can find."

"Don't mind if I do." Miles grins.

I walk out to Declan's car and as he opens the passenger door for me I look up to my window. Miles is waving goodbye. I must be going crazy because if I knew any better he looked upset as we drove away.
