As everything turned white, Kris felt nausea coming down on him. Breathing erratically, he held his head as his world spun around. Kris' figure engulfed by his older brother.

Soon after, Kris realized where he was. It was the room next to where the experiment was held. Everything was on fire. He had no idea how he got here.

Sans had his left socket aflame, flickering from blue to yellow. Asriel layed on the ground coughing up a storm. Asriel was a tad burnt, and he hissed as he held his head.

Kris realized that he barely had any bruises or burns. Had Asriel protected him? But how did they get here?

Kris turned to face Sans who just held out his hand as he breathed heavily-- Like skeletons even need to breathe-- He noticed Kris' gaze, "shortcut." He said nothing more.

Ms. Alphys was behind Sans, shaking in fear as the flames were getting closer. Slithering it's way to leave a damn scar to haunt you.

Sans was still heaving breaths-- Which was strange, but Kris chalked that up to him having a very different anatomy.

Speaking of chalk-

Susie!

Kris rapidly spun and turned, the burning scene was like from another realm. "W-where's Susie?!" Kris said frantically.

Facing Sans, Kris had worry etched all over his face, "Where's is she?!" He sobbed before Sans.

"s-she's still i-in there-" Sans coughed, a puff of dark smoke trailing his breath. Patting his back gently, Alphys adjusted her glasses, "K-Kris." She said with shifting eyes, "We n-need to get o-out of h-here. Y-your brother n-needs m-medical attention!"

Kris turned to gaze at his brother who was still suffering from the nausea and burnts.

"lemme just get my strength back and we can go get the heck outta here." Sans informed as he got to his knees and silently took a nap.

"N-No." Asriel stood, "I-I can't let this happen, not again." He took a step then faltered. Without any second thought, Kris aided him as he got to Asriel's side.

As if on cue, a faint voice shouted, "Azzy!" Then a faint cough, "Where are you?"

Asriel rushed to the wall from where he heard the voice, limping every step with Kris at his side.

"Emmy!" Asriel shouted desperately, "A-are you okay?" He asked with tears prickling his eyes, it was either from the smoke or his worry, both even.

"I'm o-okay, b-but..." Kris heard the hesitation in her voice, "Susie..." She continued solemnly.

Kris curiosity perked up, "Susie?! What happened?!" Kris shouted in frantic fear.

"S-she's fine...?" She said in an almost whisper, "I-I can't explain it." Auburn said with her voice strained. Then, she started choking.

Kris stepped back as the fire made way to the wall that was caving in. The above was still steady, as were the walls opposite and either side to it. It was as if it was making way to it's master.

To it's puppet master.

As the wall gave way, there stood Auburn with her eyes sparkling with tears, flicking from crimson to black. As it turned black, she tried to attack Kris, knife in hand.

Her moves were swift, precise, as if she's done this before. Asriel blocked Kris as he trembled in fear. Kris knew those eyes, those moves, that ear to ear grin.

Like a Domino, Asriel went down with ease. Auburn raised her knife as her tears flowed like a river. "H-help." A whisper escaped her lips.

Jumping into action, Kris held Auburn's hands, the knife stopping midway. "I won't let you hurt my BROTHER!" Kris shouted.
