NICKNAMED: the feud PARTIES INVOLVED: primarily BTS + SuperM (plus several others) DANGER LEVEL: 0/10 SITUATION: It was one for the history books. A tweet promoting an article from one of the most well known shady companies to bring Kpop stans together to shade them. It all started through a Koreaboo tweet, "which group is the biggest Maeum Stan?". The headline was simple enough but the topic of the article proved sinister.
Although the words were directly written, the article alluded to which group being the best, disregarding the successful of both (and the other member's groups successes) and overall treating it like a situation in which group is best for Maeum to be placed in. The article completely disregarded the fact the both BigHit and SM confirmed Maeum's involvement wasn't her leaving and fans had already grown accustom to seeing her with different group. Not to mention treating Maeum as if she were a prize to be won and not her own successful person.
Many if not all fans from both groups were quick to handle the situation as they do best: turning it into a meme.
