The whole time I held the babies, they didn't wake up once.  Soon, Loki decided I needed more rest. I argued, I had just spent the past three days sleeping!

He convinced me though, by saying I no longer had only myself to take care of, I also had to worry about Caoimhe and Aine now.

Sighing, I handed my baby daughters over to Thor, who, despite his size, carried them with the utmost care back to their nursery.

As I watched, I felt the bed beside me dip and arms wrap around me. I smiled and leaned into Loki's embrace.

After a minute Thor walked back into the room. When he went to close the door adjoining the bedroom and the nursery, I stopped him, "Can you leave it open please? I want to hear them when they wake up."

Thor nodded, "Of course." he walked to the bed, "Well, I'm going to go. I'll have cook make some food and get a servant to bring it up. You both need to eat." he took a deep breath, "Now that you're awake, make Loki eat something, won't you? He has refused to eat since you passed out."

My eyes snapped to Loki's. He glared at Thor, "Goodbye, brother." he growled.

The blond god laughed, "Testy as ever." he leaned down and gave my forehead a kiss, "Bye, sister. Goodbye, little brother." Thor called out in an affectionately mocking voice before walking out of the room.

"He's such a pain." Loki stated, laying back on the many pillows decorating the large bed.

I smiled down at him, "He cares."

Loki rolled eyes, "I didn't realize caring required being a pain in the ass."

I giggled, "He's your brother, of course it does. That's how brothers show they care." I sobered, "Have you truly not eaten?"

He shrugged. No, then.

"Loki why wouldn't you eat?"

He shrugged again. Well, someone was being difficult today. But that was okay, I could be stubborn too.

"Loki," I said sternly, staring him down.

He sighed, "I wasn't hungry. Too worried."

My heart clenched at the thought of the worry he must have went through. I echoed his sigh and laid back against his chest, "I'm sorry I worried you."

He kissed my forehead, "It wasn't your fault, but  I've never been more afraid in my life. I almost lost all of you. I'm not sure I how I would have survived if I did."

My heart clenched at the thought of the pain he must have went through. I linked our fingers, silently comforting him.

A knock came from the bedroom door. "Come in," Loki called out.

The large gold panel opened, and on the other side stood Lucus.

"Hi!" I said with a smile.

He returned my smile with enthusiasm, "Miss, I am so delighted you are awake. I was so worried when I heard what had happened."

"Aw, thank you. Trust me, I'm glad I'm awake too." I noticed the tray in his hands. "Do you need help?" I asked, starting to move out of bed.

Loki stopped me with an arm around my waist, "Don't get up, I'll take care of it." he hopped up and strode over to Lucus. He grabbed the tray out of Lucus' hands with a gruff, "Thanks." before walking back to the bed, obviously expecting Lucus to leave.
