"They look so peaceful when they sleep." Loki mumbled against my hair.
I snorted, "Ya. But then they wake up."
Loki laughed.
"Don't laugh at me, they can be quite a handful."
He face was immediately serious, "Oh, I know. Their diapers are enough to send even the bravest man scurrying for safety."
Shaking my head, I chuckled, "You are so dramatic."
His eyebrows raised, "You know you love it."
I smiled and kissed the corner of his mouth, "Yes, I do."
I felt his mouth turn up into a grin before he settled it against my own. Moaning quietly, I wrapped my arms around his neck, softly stroking his midnight hair.
When his hand began to creep up under the v-neck, I grabbed it and pulled away, "Not here." I said, breathing heavy.
Before he could give me a response, there was a knock at the door.
He scowled, "What?" he barked, and if the bulge in the front of his grey sweatpants was anything to go by, it wasn't just annoyance that made him snappy.
Thor's voice carried through the door, "Pepper is here. She's looking for Jaxon."
Loki glanced at me,"Why is she looking for you?"
My brow furrowed in confusion before I remembered, "Oh! I had agreed to go shopping with her and Natasha today."
He pouted, "I had hoped you would forget that."
Laughing, I pulled myself out of his lap, "Don't be such a baby. I'll be home before you know it." and with that, I headed out of the nursery.
I found Pepper standing in the main room - a room now devoid of pop tart boxes, "Hey, Pepper. Do you think there's time for me to get a quick shower?"
She nodded, "Of course, we're not leaving for about an hour. I just wanted to make sure out plans were still on."
"Oh definitely, I haven't gotten any gifts for anyone yet."
"Okay, well, I see you in an hour?"
After I nodded my consent, she left.
"So girls day out, huh?" Thor came up behind me.
"I guess so. You mind helping Loki out with the girls today?"
He gave me a big smile, "Not at all, I love being around them. We might do some shopping of our own."
"Oh, goodness. I'm not sure I want to know what the four of you will get into."
His smile grew larger.

"Sat on your sofa, it's all broken springs
This isn't the place for those violin strings
I try out a smile and I aim it at you
You must have missed it, you always do
But I've got a plan
Why don't you be the artist
And make me out of clay
Why don't you be the writer
And decide the words I say" I sang along quietly along with Elle Goulding, letting the hot water slice across my skin.
The shower curtain moved right before I felt a hard, chill body press against my back.
