I sat on the couch holding a baby in each of my arms. Odin, Frigga, and about ten members of the royal guard were gathered around me, making the room feel crowded.
"How did she even get in?" Frigga asked.
Odin shrugged, "I haven't a clue." his face was the very picture of confusion.
I hugged the girls closer to my chest, they had both frozen in fear from Sigyn and had yet to wake up. "Well, I can't just sit here, waiting for her to attack again."
"My lady," one of the guards started, "we will keep you and your daughters protected."
I glared up at him, fear making my voice sharp, "Like you did tonight?"
Everyone stared at me in shock. I sighed, feeling bad, "Sorry, I shouldn't have snapped at you. I'm just scared."
Frigga moved so she was sitting beside me, "Nobody blames you for that, dear." she said rubbing my arms comfortingly.
"I just don't know what I'm supposed to do. I stayed up here for protection because they thought Sigyn was on Earth."
Another one of the guards spoke up, "My lady, the only time Sigyn ever attacks is when Loki is not with you."
Odin nodded, "That's true. She is probably afraid of him."
"If that's so, shouldn't I be with Loki?"
"Yes. But we don't know what Thor and Loki have accomplished there or what their game plan is, so if you are sent back to Earth, you will have to just play along with whatever they say until they can explain to you what is going on." Odin replied.
"Do we even know where they are?"
"Heimdall will be able to deliver you right to him."
My heart jumped in anticipation. Soon, after what felt like years of being apart, I would finally get to see Loki again.
"When do I leave?"
Odin laughed slightly, "Excited, aren't we?"
I smiled sheepishly.
"How about in the morning? Daylight, morning, I mean, not right now. You need your rest."
I nodded in agreement. I felt the bundles in my arms stir and both of their eyes fluttered open, their little mouths opening in a cry.
"Shhh...it's okay." I cooed, kissing their foreheads, trying to calm them.
Thankfully, once they realized there wasn't any danger around, they settled down and somehow fell into a normal sleep.
I shook my head in amused affection.
Frigga smiled beside me, "That scare wore them out." she paused a moment, "You okay, dear?"
I nodded, "A little freaked out but other than that, I'm fine."
"You're excited to see Loki." she stated with a knowing grin.
I wrinkled my nose, "Is it that obvious?"
She laughed.

Still no sign of Sigyn. Loki sighed, glancing out the small office window. The sun was steadily creeping over the horizon, casting an orange tint to the sky. They had waited all night, all seven of them crammed into this small room, all seven warring personalities. Barton was especially annoying to him, Loki thought as he looked across the room to see the other man still glaring at him.
