"So you can really change shape? Like, into anything you wanted?"

Pepper had prepared a large lunch for all of them and as they ate, Thor had let it slip Loki could shapeshift. Tony had been able to let it go.

Loki nodded, "Yes."

Tony still looked unconvinced. "I won't believe till I see it." He said, leaning back in his chair, crossing his arms as he did so.

The others looked just as skeptical.

Loki raised his eyebrows and stood up. "Fine," he said, hanging his arms down at his sides.

All eyes were on him as he closed his eyes and a green shimmering light surrounded him. Everyone watched in awe as the very shape of his bones, the sound of their creaks filling the air as his body bent forward, curving inward.

Soon there was no more Loki - not the human form of him anyway - and instead, there was a large black panther with striking green eyes.

"Holy shit." Tony muttered. Similar explicatives were released from the other members of their group.

When they finally settled down, Bruce said softly, "I guess with all the other things we've seen them do, this really shouldn't come as such a shock."

I smiled and leaned down to stroke panther Loki's soft fur.

Soon, the shock of the other people in the room wore off and I could see Loki's shoulders relax as their stares changed to covert glances.

As I scratched him behind his ears, he turned and rubbed against my legs, purring. I giggled.

Out of the corner of my eye, I noticed Tony staring at us.

Ignoring him, I continued to pet Loki.

When the phone rang, Tony glanced up as Pepper went to answer it.

"It's for you." She stated, looking at Loki.

I felt his fur tingle under my hands as he changed back to human form.

Thankfully, he remembered to produce clothing as well - something he often struggled with.

He answered the phone, and as the conversation went on, his face visibly hardened.

After he hung up, I asked, "What's wrong?"

He glanced at me, his eyes as hard as flint, "SHIELD has captured Sigyn." Everyone in the room froze.

"But that's a good thing, right?"

He shook his head, "SHIELD doesn't have the resources to capture Sigyn, let alone to hold her prisoner for a long period of time."

A snort came from Tony, "Yea, you Asgardians have trouble staying put."

He was ignored.

"So, she's up to something." I said.

Loki nodded.

"I wonder what..." I pondered.

He shrugged, "No clue. But I'm gonna find out."

Loki and Thor strode through SHIELD'S base, the other Avengers following close behind. Loki sighed, damn people couldn't mind their own business.

After they were cleared by security - Loki steadfastly ignoring the suspicious looks the overweight security guard gave him - they headed towards the same giant case Loki himself had been held in while at SHIELD.

It was a different experience to be the one looking in, rather than the one glancing out.

The slender blond turned when she sensed their presence. "Loki, my love!" she exclaimed with a bright smile.

"Sigyn," he said, keeping his voice neutral, "what do you want?" he, at the moment, wanted to get right to the point.

"To see you. I miss you." she glanced at the others behind them, "Who are these people?"

Loki shrugged, "No one you need concern yourself with."

"I notice you didn't bring your little whore."

A slight laugh came from Tony, "Been getting around, reindeer games?"

Sigyn leveled him with a glare, "He better not be. It's bad enough he sired two brats with her."

Loki felt the curious stares of the Avengers on him. Paying them no attention, he cast a securing spell on the cell Sigyn was in, "We'll be leaving in the morning for Asgard where you will receive your punishment." With that, he left the room.

The other Avengers watched as Loki left the room before following, only at a much slower pace.

"So, I'm guessing Jaxon's not really your sister." Bruce stated, glancing at Thor.

The thunder god sighed and shook his head, "No, not by blood. But she is like a sister to me."

"Not so much so to Loki, though." Clint muttered.

Thor began to explain, "I didn't want to lie to you, but we both felt it important for protecting Jaxon and the girls. We didn't want them to be used as leverage by SHIELD."

Steve nodded, "Makes sense. Can't say I wouldn't do the same."

Clint snorted.
