"Where were you?" Louis asked "you've been gone for forty minutes"

I bowed my head... I was still upset about the push ups

"I got into a lot of trouble for not finishing my push-ups" I lied

"Oh, what did he do?"

"He yelled at me... Really loudly"

"I'm sorry, man" Liam rubbed my back

"But he took me to the nurse cause I was hurt and I got some stuff for my back"

"I told you I was fat!" Louis wailed at Harry

"You're not fat, you baby"

"You're not fat" I agreed "you're just... Chubby"

"What did Major say to you?" Liam asked

"Well he obviously hates the nurse" I mumbled "but he still wants to see me after classes"

"Shit, I bet that's for talking back" Harry said

"He won't hit me right?" I jumped to a bad conclusion

"He probably will" Louis whispered "if you were in trouble with him for not completing your push-ups... I don't know what else he could do"

I looked at my now empty second tray... I felt like I was going to throw it all up because he had yelled at me on the field and now he was going to hit me for getting cheeky

"He dumped water on me I... I couldn't just be nice to him"

"It's disrespectful to talk back" Louis said "especially to Majors"

"What exactly is a Major?"

"They go on to be lieutenants" Louis answered "Majors are the top students that get promoted to royalties that puts them in charge or juniors. They get the authority and they're the law for us. Lieutenants handle the seniors, they're the best of the Majors and to us he's a Major but to the seniors..."

"He's a lieutenant" Liam finished "so disrespecting him isn't a good idea. He's easier on us smaller guys but not by much. You're lucky you didn't get a kick in the ribs for crying in front of him"

"How do you become a major?"

"Well for starters, you don't back talk" Harry said "you know what to do, you stay top of your class, you're perfectly disciplined and you excel in every activity. You're a teacher favourite, you never get anything lower than a 100 on anything, then you get approved by Louis' dad and depending on what you got put in here for, you become a Major"

"But you can be downgraded"

"For what?"

"To be a Major you have to be over 18" Louis said "but if you're caught sleeping with anyone under or the same age, you can even get whipped. You're disgraced if you're caught with a junior, and you're not supposed to be sympathetic. Zayn is obviously one of the softer Majors but in all honesty? Not by that much"

"So, I have to respect him and I can't be a major to snap at him?"

"At the rate you're going, you're never going to leave this place" Liam said softly

"But isn't this place filled with rebels?"

"We know where our place is, Niall" Louis said softly "I made the mistake of stepping out of line only once. My Major came down hard on me and I was in the nurse office for three weeks recovering"

"From what?"

"I got called a disgrace to the school and the seniors ganged up on me because my bad behaviour stopped their hockey game from leaving the school"

"Oh..."

"I've stepped out of line before too" Harry said "I didn't quite get it as bad as Louis but my ass burnt enough for me to know not to back talk anyone"

"And you Liam?"

"I've been in trouble with Devine" He answered "he always gives me push ups. I started eating lots and when he called me fat I lashed out. And I was limited to barely anything till I apologised"

"That's not bad then"

"I didn't apologise for a month because I was that pissed off"

"Nevermind then"

// ok i'm done for tonight bc i gotta get ready for the new AHS & finish watching suicide room (it's a polish film but it has english subtitles dONT JUDGE ME) (the trailer is on the side ;-))
