A chuckle resounded from his throat as he looked at the cheery greeting.
*V : Good morning, [Name].
*V : How is life treating you today?
*[Screen] : mm, so-so, the day hasn't been too busy today ʕ •̀ ω •́ ʔ
*[Screen] : I've only been responding to the emails that have been overflowing in my inbox,
*[Screen] : weeeellll, what about yourself?
*V : haha, I've been well. The same usual routine I have been doing for the past while.
Some reason unknown to him, V felt more at ease whenever he spoke with the mystery girl.
Something about her and her kindness had lifted that heavy stone of burden from his heavy heart.
*V : are you excited for the party? (＾▽＾)
It was out of his character to use emojis, but like he had thought previously. There had been something striking and invoking about [Name] that had been warm and inviting enough for V to relax and try to be a touch social.
*[Screen] : omg! u know how to emoji?!
*[Screen] : this is soooo news worthy to tell everyone about, ehehe!!
*[Screen] : EVERYONE, V HAS OFFICIALLY USED AN EMOJI! LO AND BEHOLD, THE MAGNIFICENT V HAS BECOME ONE OF US.
A bead of sweat trailed itself down the side of his temple as he chuckled nervously from the outburst of text. He could feel his cheeks beginning to grow warmer after, it wasn't that bad of him to post an emoji, was it?

*Yoosung★ : have u eaten yet?? (ﾉ≧∀≦)ﾉ
*[Screen] : h-hey!
*[Screen] : ah, not yet, I haven't gotten out of bed just quite, been laying here since the early hours with my laptop.
*V : you haven't eaten yet?
*Yoosung★ : oh, V ... You're here too?
*V : Good morning to you as well Yoosung. I hope you ate?
*Yoosung★ : yeah, I did.
Squinting at his phone, V had to bring his phone closer to his face to see the image that Yoosung had posted of his omelette. The mere image of the omelette showed that it had been properly cooked, however, the condiment and smile had been off.
It was almost cute.
*[Screen] : AGGHHH, that photo is making me so hungry right now!
*Yoosung★ : I could make you breakfast in bed if you'd like me to??
*Yoosung★ : just let me know and I'll teleport over as fast as I can to feed you! :D
*[Screen] : oh, if only teleporting worked, I'd have asked for the omelette to be in front of me right now.
*Yoosung★ : w-well, that can hapoen if u wabt!
*[Screen] : typos, ehehe
*[Screen] : mm, as much as I'd love to eat your delishhh cooking, I'm feeling more of eating some takeout breakfast! (〜￣▽￣)〜
Feeling an opportunity arising, V's heart skipped a beat as he felt the blood rush and swirl inside of his cheeks. He furiously typed as fast as he could.
*V : I haven't eaten yet, would you care to join me then?
Silence from their ends, this was nerve wracking for him as he awaited for an answer.
*Yoosung★ : did you...just ask out [Screen]?
*Yoosung★ : r u forgetting Rika akready!!
*Yoosung★ : (ﾒ｀ﾛ')
The chat was then filled with an endless stream of angered emojis sent from Yoosung. V could only sweat drop as he sighed. Maybe he made a mistake of asking, why did he even bother?
*[Screen] : I'd love to.
His heart stopped.
*[Screen] : let me just get ready and dressed, where are you thinking?( ' ▽ ' )
He couldn't remember how to breathe as the once suave man lost his cool at her reply.
*V : that one Sunnyside cafe and grill place serves some really great breakfast menus..from what I've heard.
*[Screen] : sounds good to me, I'll see you there in a few?
V had to reread every word again as his brain processed the thought. His cheeks growing sore as he soon realized that the corners of his mouth were upturning as he felt himself smiling widely.
*V : alright, I'll see you there then.

Smiling to an empty apartment, V had gotten up from his place on the sofa as he fumbled around looking for his sweater to put on. He still had his sight, but it was gradually decreasing in health as he felt the familiar soft material of his beloved sweater.
Placing it on his body, V made his way to the door as he used his cane to guide his way down the empty corridor.
The smile never once faltering.
