Chapter 1: Meeting a New Face

(Harmony's) POV:

Once I see Kairi and Riku, I call out to them, waving my hands in the air.

"Heeeeey! Kairi! Riku!" I call out, running towards them.

"Hey, Harmony," Kairi says with a smile.

"And where have you been?" Riku asks.

"Sorry. I got a little side-tracked," I apologize then look around, noticing there's one person missing. "Where's Sora?"

"Went looking for you, since you were taking your sweet time getting here," Riku answers, teasing me a little.

I begin to pout. "I said sorry, geez."

"Anyway, if I know Sora, he's most likely sleeping on the beach somewhere. So, might as well go look for him," says Kairi.

With that said, we go looking for our said spiky-haired friend. It doesn't take long to find him, however. And just like Kairi had said, he's sleeping on the beach, close to the edge of the water.

I let out a sigh and then call out to my sister. "Kairi, I found him!"

She comes over and lets out a sigh. "Good grief. What are we to do with him?"

"Well, this is Sora we're talking about," I say, shrugging my shoulders.

Sora's a great friend, but he has his moments of being lazy and completely hopeless sometimes. I mean, sleeping on the beach near the water? The least he could have done was pick a better spot to nap on, like his own bed at his house or something. Not long after walking up to him, we notice Sora shift a little, showing that he's (finally) waking up. He slowly and carefully opens his eyes and sits up, letting out a long and tired yawn. Once he leans back a little, Kairi and I stand right above him.

"Whoa!" he exclaims, surprised to see us, making Kairi laugh at his silliness. "Gimme a break, Kairi, Harmony."

"Funny. That's what we should be saying to you, considering how it practically took forever to wake you up," I say, teasing him a little.

"What?" Sora asks, confused.

Kairi and I both let out a sigh. "Sora, you lazy bum. I knew that we'd find you snoozing down here," says my sister.

"No! This huge, black THING swallowed me up! I couldn't breathe, I couldn't--" Sora tries to explain.

Wait...huge black thing?!

A memory flashes through my mind as I recall a fragment of my dream. It could have been something else, but......Could Sora really have had the same dream as me? I don't have time to think about it when Kairi gives Sora a bonk on the head.

"Are you still dreaming?" my sister asks.

"It wasn't a dream!" Sora denies, before looking down. "Or was it? I don't know. What was that place? So bizarre..."

"Yeah, sure," my sister says, walking past him.

"Say, Kairi, what was yours and Harmony's hometown like?" Sora asks, deciding to change the subject. "You know, where you two grew up."

"We told you before, we don't remember," I say, sitting next to him.

"Nothing at all?" he asks.

"Nothing," Kairi answers.

"You two ever want to go back?" he asks.

Hearing that, Kairi and I put some thought into it. "Well, I'm happy here," says my sister.
