(Harmony's) POV:
After changing into the clothes that I wore yesterday, I met up with Asch and Kairi to have breakfast. Since Asch had nowhere else to go, Kairi and I decided to have him stay with us at our place with the Mayor, who was more than hospitable to let Asch into our home. I couldn't help but get excited, especially when today is the day that my friends and I start building our raft.
Thanks to Asch's help, we've been making great progress. We were even able to finish building the raft long before noon. Thanks to that, it gives us plenty of time to pack the supplies we need for our voyage. Yet, even so, I still am unable to forget what had happened earlier today, when we had finished our raft.
(flashback)
While the boys had been tying the logs together with rope for the raft, Kairi and I had been patching up the holes in our sail.
"Thanks to Asch, we're almost done," Sora says.
"Yeah. And since our raft is almost finished, it's going to need a name," Riku points out.
"We don't need to worry about that, do we?" Kairi asks.
"Well, every ship does need a good name," says Sora.
"It's a raft, not a ship," Asch corrects.
"You know what I mean," Sora says.
"I'm thinking of calling it Highwind. What would you name it, Harmony?" Riku asks, ignoring Asch and Sora.
I put some thought into it before giving my answer. "How about, Symphonia?" I ask.
"That's silly," Sora comments.
"Oh yeah? What would you name it, then?" I ask, feeling insulted, and having my doubts of him coming up with something better.
Sora gives his answer, not wasting a single moment. "Excalibur!"
All of us share a bored look. "And my name is silly?" I question.
"In that case, how about..." Riku starts.
"The usual?" Sora asks.
"Let's do it!" Riku exclaims.
I let out a sigh. "Good grief."
"Here we go again," Kairi says, also letting out a sigh.
"What're you talking about?" Asch asks.
"You'll find out," I say, standing up. We then lead Asch to another spot on the island (the picture at the very top). "Here we are. Whenever we have trouble coming to a decision on something, we settle it with a race. And we always use this place."
"It looks old and a little rundown," Asch points out.
"That's because this used to be a Fishing Spot, but they stopped using it a few years ago. But thanks to Harmony and Kairi living with the mayor, he's been having someone do repairs to make sure that it stays in good condition, letting us use it for our races," Riku explains.
"Basically, it's kind of like our personal area," says Sora.
"I'll be the judge. As usual, the rules are to take any route you want. First one to tag that tree and make it back here wins," says my sister as she gets into position.
