Rhydian's P.O.V
We're at Maddy's house, I haven't set foot in here for over about a month, I couldn't bear to, not until Maddy and I crossed paths again or she unexpectedly turned up at my door."Ceri will be fine, theres nothing to worry about Rhydian." Kathy rubs my shoulder reassuringly.
All I can think of is Whitewood, I am deeply infuriated, she hurt mum, drove Maddy away from me and now she's doing everything in her power to reclaim evidence and prove the existence of Wolfbloods.
"When do you and mum plan on returning to the wild?" I ask desperately.
"What?" Kathy replies.
"You said so yourself that Maddy's with the pack, we both promised we'd find each other one day, if I'm going to keep that promise then I have to go with you."
"Rhydian." mum limps towards me and Kathy.
"Maddy told us why you never left. She said that when Dr White.."
"Whitewood." I tell her.
"She said that after she found out you had to stay here to keep her and her parents safe."
Mum and Kathy sound like they are trying to keep me from Maddy; the only thing that has bothered me for the last month.
"I have to see her again."
"She's safe, Jana will make sure that the pack welcomes her, she is safe." Mum tells me.
"You've also been safe here for a while, so just for a little while stay here, where you belong." Kathy insists.
They're right, I have to keep Whitewood away from them and me if I'm going to leave.
"Rhydian!"
Tom and Shannon burst into the living room with lit torches; I didn't turn the lights on, I couldn't risk having Whitewood come here.
"Tom, Shannon." I run forward and hug them tight.
"Are you ok?" Shannon examines mums wound, she pulls out a first aid kit and wraps a bandage round her leg.
"Thank you." Mum replies to Shannon gratefully.
"So, what happened?" I ask Tom.
"Whitewood must've seen you, Shan and I dealt with her but that doesn't mean she's given up."
"She's more desperate than ever, it's s good thing Tom and I cleaned out the house, theres no DNA here for her to find."
"DNA?" Kathy is puzzled.
"It's complicated, basically Dr Whitewood got Maddy's fathers DNA and that's why they had to flee." Shannon explains.
"So, Maddy's safe with the pack in the wild?" Tom asks.
"She is, but she told us her parents were separated from her." Kathy tells Tom.
"Her parents are missing?" Shannon asks anxiously.
Alone, Maddy has no chance, being its the wild pack will prove to be a challenge, I have to join the wild pack again, she needs me.
"The main thing is she's safe." I tell Tom and Shannon.
"So, she can come home anytime?" Tom asks.
"No, not just yet, she'll need to get used to living with the pack before she can leave and come home." Mum makes clear.
"I'm just going to go get some air."
I step outside and stare at the pitch black sky, the full moon is rising, I can feel the transformation approaching rapidly.
The veins begin to disperse among my neck and hands, before I go back inside I make a light howl, hoping that Maddy will hear it.
"I love you Maddy." I say before going back inside.
Mum, Kathy and I'll have to spend the night in the den.

Dr Whitewood's P.O.V
Tonight I saw them, at least I think I did. I noticed a blonde teenage boy run past me; he looks an awful lot like the mysterious person who stole the doc chew from me that day."This could be it." I tell myself.
Tomorrow I will go into Bradlinton High and find Tom, Shannon, Lism and try to figure out who this mysterious boy is.
I pack up my notebooks and look back at my mind-maps that are pinned up or taped across my living room; from the bones that were excavated to the DNA results, the dig chew and the mystery thief.
"Nothing's going to stop me now."

Maddy P.O.V
That night I run wild like a true Wolfblood with Jana and Bryn, I learn how to run fast and fight like a wild Wolfblood.Tomorrow I will have to face my friends brother and defeat him in order to win my place here in the wild.
As the pack all lay down to sleep I gaze up at the moon and howl loud, maybe it will carry its way to Rhydian. I feel like I'm being nuzzled but it's nothing until I turn to see another Wolfblood; not Jana or Bryn, it's Rhydian; wait no, how can this be?
Rhydian runs off and I follow him, even if I'm dreaming I can't have this taken away from me.
When I finally catch up with him I rub my head under his chin, he nuzzles my ears and we gaze into each other's eyes; it's as though everything is just as I want it to be, this is real it's not a dream.
Rhydian changes back to human form, I do the same and we hug each other tight, I can't bear to let him go, not like I had to last time.
"We found each other." I say to him.
"I promised I would."
We both giggle like little kids, we hold hands, our fingers are intertwined tightly.
"I thought I'd never see you again." I say with tears of joy beginning to race down my face.
Rhydian brushes the tears away from my cheeks, he has small tears streaming from his eyes too.
"You will see me again, just not here, you're hallucinating Maddy."
"What?"
"You need to realise that I'm not really here."
"No. I can't, please don't go."
"I won't, I will find you, we will find each other and you know we will."
"At least kiss me before I have to let you go again."
Rhydian looks at me with deep sympathy, my facial expression gives a clear image of loneliness and longing for him.
We both kiss deeply, nothing like our first kiss and nothing like our real one that I know will happen.
When we are separated he vanishes from my sight; he really never was here and I am still in wolf form, how did I do that, it wasn't a dream it was like a mirage mixed with the manipulation of the imagination to make what you want to be possible, possible.

Maddy's P.O.V
"I love you Rhydian." I say when I am asleep with the rest of the pack and in human form again, when it's morning.*****
Rhydian's P.O.V
Mum, Kathy and I are asleep in the den as wolves, I've never been in the den since Maddy left and without he here it will never be the same.As I fall asleep I begin to dream about me and Maddy:
Maddy and I are running towards each other, we hug so tight; this dream is the closest I have come to seeing her again.
'Don't make me have to let this go.'
As the dream progresses I can see more and more happening: Jana returning, the wild pack coming to Stoneybridge, Dr Whitewood. Stop!
I open my eyes abruptly, Kathy and mum lie fast asleep. The dream seemed so realistic, like I could see the future, that's not possible.
Except as a Wolfblood anythings possible.
