Rhydian's P.O.V
We're all on the same page:
I've told Shannon and Tom what Bernie told me and Tom's told us what he saw. What could it all mean? Was Bernie trying to warn us about dangers; from what Tom told us the person seemed Wolfblood, Bernie knew about Wolfbloods?
"Ok, everyone settle down. Now, I hope that you have all remembered that we have a very special visit today, regarding your careers." Mr Jeffries makes his morning announcement.
Around the whole classroom not that many seem like they have a plan; except Shannon: CVs, awards, personal statements, is there anything she hasn't got?
The K's enter, here we go.
"I hope we're not interrupting sir, but I thought that I might make my announcement: Bernie's is long gone and me and my family are taking over the cafe." Katrina is all hyper and seems like she's got her future on set.
"Ok. Well I hope that you all didn't forget about the careers visit today." Mr Jeffries replies.
"Course not sir." Kara tells him.
The bell rings, school has begun and me, Shannon and Tom have got a crisis that is burning red hot; we shouldn't have to be in school, not if we have troubles on our hands.
"Right. Well, I guess we'll head out after school and go find out what it all was. Just remember Rhydian that Whitewood could still be on our case, so you need to be careful." Shannon is worried, I'm glad to have her and Tom as my pack.
"Let's just head to this career visitor, shall we?" Tom suggests.
I can't see the point, my plans were to find Maddy and start a new life with her; in school though none of that is first priority.
Upon entering the assembly hall I catch a Wolfblood scent, maybe it's that one Tom spotted outside.
"What is it mate?" Tom asks looking shocked.
I give no reaction or reply to him, instead I follow the scent across the room; if only it were Maddy.
Tom and Shannon follow on behind, they might need my protection; this Wolfblood could be a danger to them and everyone here in this room. The scent ends at the very edge of the room: a medium-height woman, with black hair stands in front of an advertising banner: Segolia? What's that?
"Hello Rhydian." The woman says upon catching me in her sight.
Despite her look she may still be a danger, I walk towards her until I hear what she has to say:
"Maddy's parents send you their best." my hearing catches her words and I am left in shock and a little relief.
Standing right in front of her, she has piqued my interest and made me speechless.
"You know the Smiths?"
"Mr Smith called and said they were heading into the wild, we offered them something better."
"And what was that?"
"Introductions first. Dacia Turner." she holds out her hand and I shake it uneasily.
"I'm a graduate recruit of the Segolia corporation."
"Ok. Now about Maddy's parents."
"Of course. We set up a new life for them in Canada, however they got separated from Maddy. They never told her and left her alone one night to come and meet with us, the next mornig Maddy had gone missing." Dacia tells the whole story.
"Maddy joined the wild." I reply.
"Are you sure?" Dacia ask.
"My mother and aunt were part of the pack, they came here to Stoneybridge and told me everything."
