Jana's P.O.V
"Can you smell that?" I sense the presence of another Wolfblood.
"What is it?" Meinir asks.
"This way." I beckon them to follow.
Maddy, we've found her, thank goodness she's not in any danger. She can't return to the wild though, she'll have to find someplace else, the wild corrupted her and now she needs help.
"I don't see anything." Aran reports.
There's no signs of any scent whatsoever, but she's around here somewhere and we need to find her before someone else. Crossing a few inches deeper into the woods brings back the scent, we are close. Maddy must be trying to escape from us, we have to be quick, not a moment to lose.
Her scent ends by a fallen tree, we can't see beyond it, she must be hiding beneath.
"Bryn, you and Meinir take that side, Aran and I'll go straight in and get her."
Bryn nods in agreement, he and Meinir move in the right sode of the tree while Aran and I take the left, we move as quietly as a mouse; no sudden sounds, no noise, no abrupt surprises.
"Sh's in there." Aran points to the opening right by the tree.
I raise my hand, gesturing Aran to stay put, I go forward and step up onto the tree: there's nothing to see; the tree is covered in muddy grass that was puled out from the ground when it had collapsed.
The scent is stronger than ever, I'm right on top, I take one small footstep and seize my chance: I jump straight down:
"Maddy!" It's not her.
Instead of Maddy it's two small cubs; abandoned cubs, they must've lost their pack and have nobody to care for them.
"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to scare you."
The cubs look at me with shock, they can sense that I'm just like them.
"You smell like..." the little girl says before I interrupt.
"Like you, yes I'm like you, a Wolfblood."
They don't look so scared anymore, they lean against the back of the tree.
"My name is Jana."
"Are you an alpha?" the little boy asks.
"Yes. Some of my pack came here with me, would you like to meet them?"
They look at each other for a moment, when they look back they smile and nod. Standing up I offer them my hands, they take them gladly and I help them get acroos the tree.
"Cubs?" Meinir asks.
"What are your names?" I ask them.
"My names Cadwr, this is my sister Gwyn." Cadwr explains.
After hearing their names I kneel down and look at them desperately; perhaps they know where Maddy is.
"Listen to me, have you seen another Wolfblood passing by here; she's about this tall (I raise my hand to an assumption of Maddy's height) has long brown hair and was wearing a brown coat."
"We haven't seen any others like us, until you found us." Gwyn tells me.
"Ok, thank you."
I take their hands again and walk them back to Bryn, Aran and Meinir. When we are all together I hand Cadwr and Gwyn to Aran and Meinir.
"Take them back to the pack, I'll go on alone, I have to find Maddy."
"We can't return without you, you're the alpha!" Meinir sounds worried.
