Chapter 4: True Transformation

Last night I was tame, this morning I'm wild, I've given into the animal urge that changes you into a savage beast; imagine what the moon will do to me, the bright white sphere could unlock the true wolf buried deep inside; being in the wild transforms you into one of them.

I have to leave, return home before it's too late and before I am swallowed whole by the deep dark hole filling up inside me, colouring me whole inside and out. A voice is screaming from deep inside; fighting to keep me from changing, to stay who I am.

'I don't want this, please don't do this to me.'

I only have two minutes before it begins, it's already taking hold; like I'm being chained to a wall or tied to a chair; but only part of me while the other side takes over.

"Maddy, Bryn where's Maddy."

Bryn rubs his eyes, last night was quite rough for him; he and I were sparring with Maddy, trying to help her for the forthcoming fight she must face today.

In a flash full instant I realise where she is.

"She's in the square." (the location of the ring where we hold the Brwdyr)

Running as fast as I can, not a moment to lose I see the pack gathered around the ring; Derian stands inside, but Maddy is nowhere to be seen; has she been beaten? Have they thrown her out?

Bryn starts to sniff hard, it must be Maddy; it is, she's coming towards us, she's actually going through with this?! No! She can't, she'll get hurt, or worse.

"Maddy, I can convince them to change all of this, you don't have to face Derian."

"Jana, I have to, despite the fact he's your brother."

"My adopted brother actually, my father adopted him, he leaves the pack a lot. However, since he's back I'll probably have to step down as alpha and give the position to him."

"Jana, I'm going to do this, you're going to let me."

Maddy sounds a little uneasy, only one day with the pack and she's starting to change; embrace her wild self.

"As you wish, Maddy."

"Thank you."

Maddy makes her way to the ring, Derian looks at her with a sinister smile; his strength is supremely indomitable, not even my own father could stand his might.

I just hope that Maddy knows what she's doing.

Maddy's P.O.V
I stare into his eyes, they glow yellow like a wild Wolfblood, my eyes glow too.

'What's happening to me?'

I can feel the animal urge festering deep inside, the wolf calling to the surface, I'm transforming; but not just into a wolf: into a wild one.

"Let us see just how strong you are tame wolf." Derian speaks and looks at me patronisingly.

"Unlike you I don't cling to self-righteousness and power, I have the strength of my pack, my own family.

"Then prove yourself!" Derian yells.

Derian extends his head up high to the ocean blue sky, he howls loud and lowers into his hands and feet, it's as thigh he really does embrace his wolf.

In no time at all he's in wolf form, I'm not; this is it.

I transform and face Derian.

At first he paces himself, swiftly moving from one side to the next, he doesn't attack me yet but I know he will.
