I tapped my foot while my mom rubbed my back trying to comfort me. Gary Bam JoJo Tino and Steve all sat together whispering probably plotting. Niys mom sat there crying and crying while her boyfriend hugged her. We were waiting for the doctor to come out and tell us if she survived surgery,she got shot in the stomach and it didn't look great.

My mind was all over the place honestly. I was so numb and heartbroken, people die all the time and it don't really bother me. Cause that's life but this was my best friend. She meant everything to me I wasn't ready to let go. After hours of us sitting here the doctor finally came out "Taniyah Roads"

I wanted to get up to hear the results but I couldn't. Everybody popped up, Gary cake over to me and held his hand out for me. I slowly grabbed it and stood up, we walked over to the doctor.

"So basically what I'm saying is she will live but she's in a medically induced coma for now. As long as she wakes up within the next week or two she should be fine" it felt like I let out a breath I didn't even kno I was holding. Gary kissed my head "ima come home later, go to my house when you done" he whispered in my ear and I nodded. All the boys left Bam looked so distant, his eyes were black and he hadn't spoke since we got here.

My mom took me home after a while since Niys mom didn't want her to be seen yet. I didn't feel like going to Gary's i just laid in my bed with my phone on dnd, I didn't cry cause she was alive. But I wanted to cause I didn't know Niy was strong enough to fight for her life like that. Even tho she did I feel shitty she even has to go through this what if she's never the same?

I sniffed and wiped my eyes as I hugged my pillow she bought me with her face on it close to me. My phone rung and I scrunched my face up confused as fuck, I grabbed it

I answered "bruh yo phone on do not disturb?" He was sitting the car wiping blood off his hands "yes" I mumbled
"Can you come wit me please? Help me clean up?" He threw the paper towels out the window. I nodded and got up to put on clothes "I'm outside whenever you ready". I hung up and rolled my eyes, I grabbed my duffle bag and threw my hair stuff and underwear and clothes and shoes in it. Then I grabbed a pair of black puma leggings and a long sleeve white puma shirt. I put on socks and slipped my slides on. I left out and walked up to Gary car. He got out and had blood all over him.

"Uhuh I'll do it" I put my hand up and put my bag in the trunk. I got in and sighed "wait is this a new car?" I looked at my window and saw it wasn't broke. "Yeah I replaced my other one, police goin be lookin for a car like this with a broke window" he pulled off. I nodded and just sat there until we got to his apartment. I followed him inside after getting my bag, "go shower please" I said while going in his kitchen.

I didn't know if it was his blood or someone else's and honestly I was cool not knowing. I felt so drained I just want my bestie. I grabbed a box of cereal and sat in the living room eating it while the tv played spongebob. After a while Gary came back out in only gray sweatpants and white socks.

He sat in front of me on the floor. I frowned because he had a cut right under his eye and red scratches on his face. I rubbed his face "where you was at?"

He kept staring at me while I rubbed on him he didn't say anything at first. I was about to ask again "killing the niggas that shot Taniyah" he finally said with no emotion. I didn't say anything I didn't have a reaction. Part of me is like hell yeah but part of me is also like so this is just never gonna end? Y'all just gonna keep tryna get one up on each other until there's nothing left.
