IT COULD'VE BEEN hours or merely minutes, maybe even possibly days after the Kanima incident. Who knows, though? All three of them were in their own little world.

Clarke was both kicking at himself for basically admitting his feelings towards Hope and for being a dick about it.

Hope was thinking about what Clarke revealed and if she felt the same way or if she possibly took it the wrong way. Maybe he didn't mean it the way it sounded.

Malia was just going on about how her twin and her used to fight over which flavor of ice cream was the best, being oblivious of her two new friends fighting their feelings for one another. Yes, she realized they weren't talking to one another due to the fact Clarke stayed a way ahead of them, and they were both smelling like anger and resentment. But, she decided to ignore the negativity for once, and just go on about something that once made her happy.

Hope shook her head as she stepped over a fallen branch, still too disgust up on the thought of Clarke liking her.

He's not usually the kind of guy she would fantasize about. For starters, he's brunette and She's always liked blondes. She lusted after blue eyed boys with a innocent smile.

She looked up and watched him as he walked ahead of her. He's not particularly special looking, but to her, he stands out from the other cut-and-dried's. There's just something about Clarke, a slight confidence and inflated ego, that has her muddling her words and blushing uncontrollably whenever he's around. But, he also has this hidden innocence that keeps her wanting me, because he has more sides than a octagon. Hell, even in the darkness, the only light coming from a hug moon, he looked like sunshine.

But the question was still this; does she like, like him?

She thought about his eyes. The first thing she noticed about him when they first met. They were a deep, earthy brown - the color of the earth after torrential rains. But there was something else in them, something glistening. Glistening like an old copper penny being examined in the warmth next to powerful flames that were licking the safety glass door of an old fireplace. They held secrets, the same way a pot holds layers of deep soil cradling because it is essential to keep the plant safe. The roots are held in place the same way his dark, liquidy eyes held so tightly onto his secrets.

And his brown hair was so messy and so curly that she wanted to run her fingers through them. even tug at them lightly.

Shaking her head, she bit her lip and tried to think about anything else other than the obnoxiously tall boy who had soft brown hair, and sparkling brown eyes that always capture her attention.

All of a sudden, everything began to shake lightly, and at first, they all three ignored it due to thinking they were imagining it, but it got worse and worse.

At first, the trees began rattling like a freight train just passed, and Hope looked around, finding a part of the ground coming up, almost like a mole was coming up from underneath. She then looked over at Malia and Clarke, and they were all looking at each other with furrowed brows.

Then all at once, everything is moved up and down with such a force they sprawl over the floor, falling heavily to the dark ground. Trees began to fall over, and rocks began to slide down the mountains that were near them. The ground shook with more noise than a quarry detonation, releasing the tension of eons. Their screams are lost under the deafening noise and as the shaking retreats, they let out audible breathe and glanced to one another with wide eyes.

"What the hell was—"

Hope was cut off as the ground basically turned into quick sand, and they began struggling, letting out yells and cry.

"Hope!" Malia shouted as she reached out for the tribrid, her eyes wide, full of tears. "I can't — I can't breath!" Her eyes glowed blue as she began to freak out, she was beginning to have a panic attack. "I don't do small spaces!"

"I don't know what's happening!" Clarke is panicking too, and he looked between the girls with obviously fearful eyes. "Hope, can you do anything!"

Hope's eyes widened as they all were sucked further into the ground, basically only their chests and up were free.

"Grab my hands!" Hope shouted and they all reached out for one another. "Come on!" She cried out as they sunk some more. "Please!"

Right as their fingertips touched, everything went black.
