IT WAS THE next day, and Ryan and Hope have gotten closer with one another. She has learned what his favorite color was amongst other things that might be meaningless for most people, but was important to them. Thankfully, neither of them were allergic to anything so it meant that dats nights and surprises were going to be easy.

It early in the morning and Landon walking around the school, trying to find Hope who has hasn't seen in a couple of days since she ran away from him. It hurt his feelings and he just wanted to find her and talk to her.

But, what he didn't expect was to walk into the library and see Hope on Ryan's lap, laughing about something.

Landon stayed in his spot as he watched them for a little longer. Stupid Clarke was giggling again, unmanly it is, his muscles are shaking and tears stream from his half closed eyes. Landon held his breath behind pursed lips to steel himself, but when he saw Hope giggle and lay her hand in his chest, that's when he exploded.

"What is this?!" He shouted as he stormed into the library, thankfully no one else was in there yet.

Hope quickly jumped off of Ryan's lap and stared at Landon with wide eyes. "I can explain, Landon."

"Then explain!" He snarled out, his eyes narrowed, and his hands clenched at his sides. "How long has this been going on? Before we kissed? After?" He stared between them with clear anger and disgust.

"It was after, Landon," Hope said as she crossed her arms. "Not like its any of your damn business, anyway."

"I don't understand," Landon stated, sighing as he looked Hope in the eyes. "He was the bad guy. How could you fall for him?"

"He's not the bad guy, Landon. He never was," she stated as she took Ryan's hand in hers with a soft smile. "He has saved my life multiple times through our time together in Malivore. Which, speaking of the pit, I jumped into to save your life and everyone else's. So, you do not get to come here and demand things of me."

"So, you're going to just forget everything that happened with me?" Landon asked, his eyes tearing up.

Hope furrowed her brows. "Happened with you? You mean that kiss you decided to give me without my consent?"

Landon scoffed at her. "You had every chance to tell me you didn't like me like that." He pursed his lips as he glared at the auburn haired girl. "You're selfish."

That's what made Ryan snap. "You do not get to come in here and call her selfish!" He pointed his finger at Landon, his eyes wild. "She has saved your ass so many times. She did and still does everything for everyone else, so do not tell her she's selfish. And did she once ever give you sign that she liked you? I mean, seriously." He scoffed. "She told me what happened and you kissed her before she could even utter a word. She pushed you away, told you she didn't like you, and then ran away. Don't you think that's enough to realize that she didn't like you?" He crossed his arms, standing protectively in front of Hope.

"What does he have that I don't?" Landon asked, looking at Hope with a desperate and hurt expression. He couldn't believe what he was seeing and hearing. He would never expect Hope to go for a guy like Clarke.

The tribrid crossed her arms and stepped forward so she was beside Ryan. "You asking that question proves what he has that you don't." She walked towards him and laid a hand on his shoulder. "I never, not once, considered you to be anything other than my friend. I'm sorry if I somehow led you on, but you deserve a sweet girl. Maybe Josie...?"

Landon pursed his lips. "Josie is still caught up on Penelope. But, that doesn't matter. I don't like her. I like you. I have always liked you since the moment my eyes landed on you in the Grill."

Hope sighed and stepped backwards, so she was holding hands with Ryan now. "I'm sorry, Landon. I am with Ryan and that isn't going to change anytime soon. I see a future with him and I'm not going to let anything get in the way of my much needed happiness."

Landon looked between them before scoffing and storming out of the room.

"Good riddance," Ryan said as he turned to face his girlfriend, the love of his life. He gently grabbed her face and leaned down to place a sweet kiss on her lips. "No one has ever chose me before, so thank you."

She smiled and reached up, cupping the back of his neck. "I will always choose you, Ryan."

He shivered as she spoke his real name. "And I will always choose you."
