Chapter 27: The message 

"Kalirea, what you said is shocking but I need you to hear this" sabi ni Esran

"Don't blame Alystra for your situation. Don't you blame her for feeling that way. I know it was kinda her fault too but don't you blame her because of what is the aftermath of what happened. Don't blame her dahil hindi ka masaya ngayon dahil wala na si Brail. No one is responsible for your unhappiness but you. Dahil may choice ka on how you see things, a choice on what will you believe and a choice if you let this thing drag you down or up." sabi ni Esran

"You are always choosing. I know that you always say that you don't have a choice but the thing is you do. You always have a choice, you're choosing to live because it means that you're still hoping. hoping that things will take a turn and everything will be better for you. Think about it. Kung ano man ang ginagawa mo, may effect yun sa future mo. And blaming others for your situation won't make things any better" sabi ni Esran

Napatigil ako dahil ngayon lang ako sinabihan ng ganun ni Esran. Para akong nabuhusan ng kumukulong tubig dahil sa sakit ng sinabi niya. Hindi ko magets. I want to argue, I want to tell her that she's wrong but then I realized that she was right.

We are always responsible for our emotions, we are responsible for our actions. Pero bakit ganun? Di ko gets eh. Paano? Paano ko gagawin yung mga sinasabi ni Esran? To choose to be happy? How do I do that? How?

I walked out of the room and I went somewhere far. Just enough, so that they won't be able to find me.

After all this time, ako ba yung mali? Mali ba na sinisisi ko si Alystra? But its her fault! Di siguro mamamatay si Elyc kung...

I'm so conflicted that I don't even know anymore. Gulo gulo ang isipan ko, di ko na kaya.

Di ko na alam ang gagawin ko. 

Lumabas ako at nagpahangin, wala naman talagang hangin pero yun nga lumabas ako.

I saw an old woman using her cane to walk, she was having a hard time walking but she was smiling. Bakit kaya siya nakangiti? 

I looked away and saw a kid with his mom, the kid was getting scolded because the ice cream, he was eating got all over his clothes and the kid cried, marami tuloy ang nakatingin sa kanila. Nagulat nalang ako nang makita yung matandang babae na  palapit sa bata. Binilan niya ng bagong ice cream ang bata at sinabihan ang ina nito.

"Bakit mo pinapagalitan ang bata?" tanong ng lola

"Eh natapon ho kasi yung ice cream sa damit niya" sabi ng ina ng bata

If I were the kid's mom too, I would be angry and yell at my child too.

"Pero bakit mo kailangan pagalitan?" tanong ng matanda, sasagot pa sana ang ina ng bata nang magsalita pa si lola

"Nagkamali ang bata at normal lang na magkamali ang isang tao. Natututo ang tao dahil sa pagkakamali, paano malalaman ng bata na mali ang ginawa niya kung di siya gagawa ng mali? Imbes na pagalitan mo at ipahiya ang bata sa harap ng maraming tao, sabihan mo ng mahinahon" sabi ng matanda

I know the old woman was talking about the kid's shirt and making mistakes but I was hit right in the kokoro. 

Tama si lola, papaano nga natin malalaman na mali tayo kung hindi tayo gumagawa ng mali and becoming aware of our mistakes. Tama si lola na tayong mga tao ay hindi naman perpekto at nagkakamali rin. 

So, Am i admitting that I was wrong for blaming Alystra? No. I don't know what to do, pero kung mali nga ang ginawa kong pagsisi kay Alystra then, I guess I'll take that as a lesson and never do it again.

Stubborn na kung stubborn but I still believe that I'm right.

Bigla na lamang tumunog ang phone ko, I was expecting Marco's text but it came from someone else. An unknown number.

Unknown number: West Rein Hotel, 9th floor room 999

me: who dis?

Unknown: help, me find

me: wait wat

I was so confused and I didn't know what it meant. I tried to read it all over and over again, is this a code of some kind?

Then I realized that if I put it backward, it spells out as 

FIND ME, HELP

Nagulantang ako sa natuklasan, this message must be from Xyrene.

Agad agad akong pumasok muli sa hospital at nagelevator papunta sa kwarto ni Alystra. Nang makrating ako dun, lahat sila'y nakatingin sa akin at gulat na gulat. Humihingal ako at halos mawalan na ng hininga. Inabutan ako ng tubig ni Tita Jeria and I took it without hesitation. They looked at me like they were expecting me to say something.

"I might have a clue on where Xyrene is" sabi ko

Lahat sila ay nagkatinginan, I don't if they are doubting me or just shocked.

I gave Marco my phone to let them see the message, nagkumpulan sila at pinapaligiran si Marco, tinitignan ang mensaheng iyon.

"Let's go" sabi ni Alystra

"No, you're still recovering" sabi ni Tita at Tito

"Magpahinga ka muna" sabi naman sa kanya ni Eleven

"I don't care. We need to go there, I want to find her." tugon ni Alystra

"Hindi nga pwede" sabi ni Eleven

"WALA AKONG PAKE!" sigaw ni Alystra

"Alystra!" sigaw sa kanya ni tito Kenji

"At this point, I don't even have the energy to care for all of you and care for myself. We've been spending all our time finding Xyrene and ngayong may nakuha tayong impormasyon, I'm not letting that go and lets find her" sabi  ni Alystra

Dahil sa pagmamatigas ni Alystra ay nagawa niyang mapilit ang magulang niya at pati na rin si Eleven.

I texted Xyrene's dad about this information and message but to my suprise, he left me on read.

"Is it safe to go there? Mamaya prank lang yun" sabi ni Marco sa akin

"We won't know unless we get there" sabi ko

Without hesitation, nagpunta kami sa hotel na iyon. 

Napupuno kami ng kaba and we don't know what we should expect.

Please, I hope this is it. I hope that we can find her, I hope that she's safe. I'm really hoping that we could find her now.
