Chapter 10

Gaby's POV
It was finally Saturday morning. I could finally hear the birds chirping again. My parents weren't going to be home all weekend so I had the house to myself.

It was chilly outside but beautiful.

I slept in until 9:30 am and then got up to shower.

I put my hair in a messy bun and got on my sweatpants from Victoria Secret. I then put on a comfy bra and Hayes's hoodie that he left here when we had---you know.

His hoodie smelt like him. He smelt really good and I felt like I was being hugged by him.

I was bored so I put on music and cleaned my room. Plus I did all my homework.

I went downstairs in my oversized 'Hayes clothes' and made hot chocolate.

I sat down and drank and started to think about Roger.

He must be really heart broken. I mean I couldn't even imagine how he felt when Hayes kissed me right in front of him.

I wanted to invite him over so we could talk more. I just felt like I didn't get to hear everything I wanted to know. I mean he only lived a block down the street...

I decided to unblock his number and re-add him to my contacts.

Me: hey

Roger 💬: im sorry who's this?

Me: it's Gaby...

Roger💬: come on theres like 4 Gaby's in our grade 😂

Me: Gaby, your ex...

Roger💬: oh.... Hey... Long time no text..

Me: ya um.. Do you want to come over and talk?

Roger💬: is Hayes there?

Me: no. Why?

Roger💬: oh ok just wanted to make sure so he doesn't beat my ass again. 😬

Me: lol ok so I'll see u in a min?

Roger💬: ya I'm coming.

Me: k bye

I sat and waited for Roger when I heard a knock on the door.

Damn that was fast I thought.

"Hey.." Roger said at my front door.

"Hey come in." I say with a smile while I shut the door behind him.

He looks around my house.

"Wow I haven't seen this place in a while.." He said softly.

"Hah ya. Wanna sit?" I asked.

"Sure." He chirped.

"So why did you invite me?" He asked as he got comfortable.

"Uh-well I wanted to hear a little more of what like happened and what you think of me since we didn't have a lot of time... You know." I said a little shaky.

He leaned in closer to me and start talking.

"You wouldn't really understand. I tried. I really did. I just really don't know what happens between us. You make my days brighter. Before I started dating you, I never knew what it was like to be able to look at someone and smile for no reason. I wasn't telling you it would be easy, I was telling you it would be worth it." He says looking down.

He went on and on about how beautiful I was and how he begged for me to God everyday.

Second by second my heart was cracking, ripping, exploding. I just didn't know what to do.

I leaned him in with my hand and kissed him so passionately to shut him up. I know it was really wrong but I just felt so guilty. I loved Hayes a lot but Roger was my first love.

As we kissed the door opened and I opened my eyes.

It was Hayes.

He was staring at me as my lips were locked with Roger's.

I could see his soul shattered and he yelled, "I FUCKING FELL FOR YOU!" . He shut the door and I ran to him but it was too late. He already ran home as I could see him crying in the distance.

"Roger you have to go." I say pointing to the door.

"Omg I'm so sor-" he tried to say.

"NOW!" I said said closing my eyes hoping he would be gone by the time I opened them.

He got out of my house and shut the door.
