Raymond's POV:
That day, I had a math test to do in school, yet I knew I'm struggling in it. Charlie told me that he's going away on another vacation for a talk show, which kind of upset me because when you're friends with a super famous celebrity like him, there are times that they could spend time with you like normal, but others, it's just traveling a lot and getting photographed everywhere.
"Good morning, my little ray of sunshine!" My mom opened the door to wake me up after I hit the snooze button on my alarm clock.
"Good morning..." I yawned, sounding so unaware that I couldn't remember what happened last night.
"Did you sleep well last night?" She asked, but I didn't respond. "Come on, it's time for breakfast! I made you some animal waffles, your absolute favorite!"
"Mommy, can I have another minute?" I fell back asleep, wanting to dream more about going on the vacation with Charlie.
"You can't be late for school! Today's your math test. Did you spend your time studying? Don't forget!"
"Aw, shoot! The math test!" I ended up screaming while tossing myself out of bed. Banging on the floor, I continued running to attach my prosthetic and dress myself in a new outfit. While trying to comb my hair, I decided to try using a little bit of hair gel because, why not? It's a very important day, and I can't fail it. While eating those crunchy waffles, I had a fun conversation with my big sister about new blog ideas.
"Good morning, Charlotte."
"Morning, Ray."
"So do you have any ideas on what to post?"
"Hmmm... I heard that last time we posted on our blog, the Wren Cumberbatch post got a million views on it. I'm still finding one new idea, but it's so aggravating to pick the right one."
"I heard that Gnoblin and Snow Frost have been recently getting closer and they're becoming less awkward. Another one was that Jackalope and "
"Oh, are you going to schedule an interview with them?"
"Um, how about you do it?"
"Why? Do you really want to miss all of the fun?"
"Your boyfriend will handle it. I'll just stay home and run the blog."
"Aww, aren't they your favorite?"
"I'm just an indoors person." I lied, always knowing that if my sister found out, she'll be in danger later on.
I finally finished my routine by brushing my teeth inside a half bathroom and sliding on some shoes to go.
"Have fun in school! Remember, always do your best at everything!"
At the time I headed to school after getting off a bus, I chatted with my other dudes like usual.
"What's up, bro? Everyone's feeling down today for some reason..." Braxton explained.
"So are we. Charlie's already going on vacation, and that's not fair." Josh complained a bit.
"Remember what I said earlier at his party? Again, it's the price of fame." Terry added.
"It's sad to see that he doesn't get to spend time at school with us today." I frowned a little.
"I mean, we're used to it. Charlie is very nice after all, so he does spend time with us whenever he's free." Terry wrapped around my shoulder, continuing on with our discussion.
"Usually, rich kids like Melanya or Deron are the mean ones, but I'm grateful for having him as a friend for who he is, not by his money." said Josh.
"Well, it looks like we have to spend another day sitting all day and not doing anything." We left each other to get to class after the bell rang. However, in class, before taking the test, my teacher kept asking us what we're doing this weekend. Since he wanted to remain anonymous at his request as I'm telling my story, I answered his question when he called my name, "I'm going to watch my friend Charlie on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon with my family. Also, I'm stuck writing another idea on a blog."
"Really? Is that why he's not coming to school today?" A classmate responded.
"Not only him, but a few others, too." Another classmate corrected.
"Alright, kids. Here are your tests and your pencils. I also have a few peppermints on each of your desks as a snack. Take your time, and good luck!"
"Thank you." Everyone began scribbling on their tests. When I looked at my own test, there were tons of complex equations that I struggled to solve, especially fractions, decimals, and telling time, in which I despised so much that I wanted to scream the crap out of it. I don't want to tell the details about that worthless test, but the moment I turned it in with all answers completed, I started fearing about failing. I can't even do it anymore. Mom told me to do my best, but it was all worth the effort.
