"Harry, look over here!" I yelled, motioning for Harry to come over to me. I watched as he ran over and jumped in front of me.
"What's wrong?" He asked.
"Uhm.. Look at the clouds over there. Their really dark."
"So?"
"So? It's gonna rain." I said.
"We're not gonna melt. Calm down, babe." Harry said, putting his arm around me.
I gave him a slight nod and headed towards the hut. I don't care if he doesn't think these kinds of things were a big deal or not. I wasn't going to take any chances.
"Babe, what are you doing?" Harry asked. I looked over at him and saw that he was standing in the opening of the hut.
I looked back down to make sure everything in the hut was sturdy before saying, "Making sure everything is safe."
"Really? It's just a little rain. Nothing we haven't been through before."
"Actually, nothing we haven't been through on an island. When it's rained in the UK, we have an actual shelter to stay in and keep dry. Here? We have nothing."
"We have each other." Harry corrected me.
I nodded my head and kept working, banging on sticks and logs, making sure it wouldn't ever fall. I wasn't quite sure if it was just rain we would be dealing with tonight. I could hear Harry mumble something, but I couldn't quite make out the words.
"Daniella?" Harry said, waving a hand in front of me.
"What? Sorry." I said, joining Harry outside of the hut.
"Are you okay?"
"Yeah. Why wouldn't I be?" I asked, looking at him.
"Your just overly nervous about this rain. It's starting to scare even me right now."
"Oh," I replied. "I just want to be safe."
"I know, and I love you for that. But can you just calm down a little bit? It's just a little rain. I think we'll survive."
"Sorry." I said quietly, looking at the ground.
"It's okay."
I felt Harry's arms around me as I sat down by the fire. The flames were hot against my skin as I got closer to them.
"It's gonna be dark here in a while, babe. You wanna just sit here?" Harry whispered.
"Yeah," I said. "That'd be okay."
Harry nodded his head and put me on his lap. I leaned back into his chest and felt him kiss my cheek. He then put his arms around my waist and entertwined his fingers with mine, holding both hands. I giggled a little bit, keeping a smile on my face.
"What?" Harry asked, chuckling.
"Nothing," I said, taking a quick glance at him. He was raising his eyebrows and looking at me. "I'm just.. I'm so happy to have you. I'm happy that we're together."
"So am I. You make me the happiest boy in the planet." He smiled.
"And you make me the happiest girl on the planet." I winked.
"I love y-"
*BOOM!*
I flew out of Harry's lap and landed in the sand, face first. Soon enough, Harry was on top of me for some reason, covering my head with his arms.
*BOOM!*
"Daniella! We need to get out of the open, c'mon!" Harry screamed over the loud noise. I stood up as he grabbed my hand and led me to the hut.
I looked up to see what was wrong and saw trees in the woods falling down, and the sky was getting dark, but was also being lit by lightning. The wind was really starting to pick up as well and rain was falling down, hard.
"Harry!" I screamed over the noise. "I don't wanna die!"
"We're not going to! I'll keep you safe! I promise!" Harry screamed back.
He brought me into his lap again and started squeezing me close to him. His arms were wrapped around me, and his head was down. I held onto his arms and put my head down too, not knowing what else there was to do.
"I love you!" Harry said loudly into my ear so I could hear him.
"I love you too!" I held onto him tighter as I heard another tree snap.
And then, I saw nothing. Everything went black.
