That night when Starscream recharged alone for the first time in a long time, his spark reached out to the visibly small yet physically large space beside him. His servo was gently touching the cold surface of the berth that was usually occupied by Asteria. Despite being alone for much of his life, Starscream felt his spark sink in despair, feeling more alone than he ever had. The simple thought of Megatron holding his little girl made his denta clench, but he knew in his spark that not even Megatron would dare hurt such a small creature. A human perhaps but not a beast of their kind, besides he said she " would make an excellent replacement". Starscream growled, his sudden anger surprising him at the words that replyed in his mind like a broken record. What a cruel, disgusting twist of fate, he was planning to train Asteria so that she could take his place turning her against him. The pinnacle of fragger in those very plans.

Raff:" Starscream?"

The sudden voice of the smallest human nearly sent the seeker flying off his berth. The little human noticeably cringed at the seeker's slight squeal.

Starscream:' what do you want?"

Starscream tried to sound calm, but it came out more like a greedy demand as he sat up to glare at the small human.

Raf:" I-I am sorry I just came to see how you were doing, I-Ill leave you alone."

Starscream let out a pained sigh as the human began to flee his room with hurt eyes. Don't be so rude! Starscream barked at himself angrily. This little human had been so kind to him the least he could do was return the favour.

Starscream:" wait!"

Starscream was pleased when the young boy stopped in his tracks. He did not wish to be alone.

Raff:" Yes, Starscream?"

Starscream:" you don't have to go. I am sorry."

His inner devil sitting on his shoulder plates rolled his optics at this pathetic statement. Its a human, why do you need to say sorry to it?

Raff:" it's okay... I understand you are upset, and you miss Asteria."

The seeker paused for a moment to give the human a nod. It was obvious after all, and this human seemed to be the brightest of the bunch.

Starscream:" what are you doing up so late? Don't you humans have to be at home at a particular time?"

He didn't mean for it to sound rude, but he was rather curious as to why the human was still hanging around on an Earth Monday.

Raff:" oh my mums away on business for a couple of days, so I pretty much do what I want until she gets back."

Starscream:" I do not understand your strange human customs but whatever."

There was a brief moment of awkward silence. The seeker snapped his attention back to the small human when his face lit up with glee and darted out the room like an earth rabbit.

Raff:" I will be right back! I wanna show you something!"

Before he could answer, the small human came running back with some strange device in his arms. A small square and what appeared to be a car but a red colour much like Knockouts finish. Starscream snickered as he remembered the fun memories he and that egotistical medic. The small human came over to the berth and shyly looked at the seeker with an unspoken question. I took him a moment to figure out what he wanted, and he wasn't sure how he felt about it. He would never hurt the human on purpose, but yet he still felt a flicker of disgust for these small creatures. He also had a hatred for being touched, but the second he hesitated the little human's eyes drooped into a saddened look on what Starscream could only describe as a kicked cyber wolf. Despite his feelings, he did not wish to upset the human, so he was quick to move his hand down to the youngling to invite him to step up. The moment that spent raising the human from the floor to his side was short but had deep meaning. Starscream felt his spark flicker with a slight bounce of happiness as the human sat beside him and opened the strange device. This human trusted him, and it meant more to Starscream than words could speak.

Starscream:" what is that thing? Some inferior human device?"

The seeker had a little habit of saying what was on his mind without thinking, but thankfully it seemed to come out as a playful joke and too much of his delight the human let out an equally friendly laugh.

Raff:" Ratchet says the same thing. I guess it is "inferior" to you since you guys have such advanced tech. Its called a laptop.

Starscream watched as the human began to type something on his computer. The words too small for him to see, but he watched with curiosity as it jumped around seeming to do something. Starscream watched as the young human-controlled it through his "laptop" it was primitive, to say the least, the small human seemed to light up with happiness at the simple object.

Starscream:" its... exciting."

Raff:" It's a remote-controlled car. My controller broke when bee stood on it by accident so put one on my laptop and now I can control it from here. Since I take my laptop everywhere, I don't have to carry a controller too.

Starscream:" it reminds me of a lot of Knockout."

Raff paused for a moment and glanced at the seeker. For just a moment Raff wondered if he had poked at a sensitive spot, he knew Starscream and Knockout might have been friends from what he had heard.

Raff:" What was Knockout like?"

Starscream had to stop himself from blurting out everything about the medic. Arrogant. Egotysicual. A proud peacock with looks to match. But starscream had to admit he was rather good company, and they seemed to share similar taste in sarcasm and jokes.

Starscream:" He was instead... proud. But alas one of my only friends I had"

The seeker took in a low intake. He wasn't lying, he did miss Knockout, and he wondered if the medic felt the same way.

Raff:" you know, when I am sad about something I like to take walks. Helps me to forget about things. U-uh not that you should forget might make you feel better.

Interestingly enough, he too likes to take a long flight when he needed a breather. Giving a small smile, the seeker rose to his peds.

Starscream:" let's go then."

Raff:" Go, where?"

Starscream:" for a walk of course... that is if you want to join me?"

The small human stared for a moment, conflicted. Was it safe for him to go alone With starscream? What would bumblebee think?

Raff:" I- I don't know if bee would like that."

Starscream:" Do not worry, we will tell Ratchet were leaving the base. "

Another moment of silence tiptoed in the air. Well, the boy's mother wasn't around, and he wouldn't get into trouble.

Raff:" well... okay! It's just a walk."
