Asteria's little chest rose and fell as her eyelashes kissed the bottom of her eyelids. Starscream's mouth curved into a warm, gentle smile watching his little Asteria dream about her beloved daddy, which was now evidently him. Feeling instead Energon deprived and perhaps hallucinating a little bit his wings just about jumped off his back when the abrupt noise echoed throughout the ship. There was nobody around for many miles to come, and It could only mean one thing.

Scrap..."

He quickly glanced down at his little one to ensure that the sound had not awakened her. He bit his golossa as he watched her squirm slightly in her sleep. He prepared himself for horrible loud screaming noise but much to his surprise that sound did not come. Instead, she left out a sweet little yawn before using his sizeable clawed digit as a cuddle toy. With the issue of her waking up vanished, he was now faced with another. There was an intruder on the ship, and they were heading straight for them. A shiver went down his wings that were now pressed against his back. The footsteps were matching the speed of his spark beat and the chattering of his denta. His optics darted around the room in worry looking for a place to hide. He looked around frantically until his optics met an old cupboard Swiftly he opened it wiping away some of the dirt that lay on the surface. He lowered his arms and ever so gently placed Asteria on its shelf, praying to primus her little body did not since she has drifted away from daddy. Too much to his surprise and delight, her optics continued to sit silently. He closed the door wincing at its slight noise before turning to greet the stranger. Various taps of movement from the intruder's feet made Starscream's optics glare. That walk or what he better described as a scuttle was familiar. His energon began to bubble in rage as a pair of bright purple optics burned through the darkness of the ship.

" Well well well, what have we here? Why, Hello, Starscream. Nice meeting you here" The feeling isn't mutual wretch!"

Mixed emotions of fear and worry fluttered through his spark. If he were to fight Airachnid, then it would wake up Asteria alerting his mortal enemy of her presence. The situation on the other servo was just as dire as if Starscream was to resist fighting it would raise suspicions letting that wretch know that he was hiding something.

" So then Starscream, care to tell me what you are doing down here? I know you are a scraplet, but even scraplets like yourself don't return to abandoned places like this"

Starscream was struggling to come up with an answer that would suffice, but his need for one was at an end. His optics had spotted a small amount of Energon that watched from above.

" Hoarding an Energon supply all for yourself, are we? my my, how I can't wait to see Lord Megatron's faceplate when he finds out about this"

For somebody alone and starving with little left usually something like this for a rogue was a fight to the death. However, on this occasion, a battle to the end was something that he was not willing to do. Although his extreme pride foretold them, he could beat her with his servos behind her back glad him winning this fight depending on not just his life but is little Asterias. Cogs and gears turned in his head as he began to think of an idea to get her away from him, even if it were just for a few minutes he would take it grabbing his little one and escaping. He needed to use something against her, something that she despised more than him. Biting down on his golossa, he came out with an answer that may have just won him his ticket to freedom.

" Oh, you wish to extinguish my spark? I thought you wanted to take out Arcee. Guess I was wrong."

The situation was very much like poking a grizzly bear when it was hibernating. Starscream knew the topic was sensitive to her, and the glare on the femme's face confirmed it. Of course, when you poke a bear, there is always the risk that it will lash out and kill you in the instance.
