Forsaken

★ Chapter 7 ★

 All of Starscream's past actions would matter right here and right now. His mind knew this was A doubtful situation... but his spark was yearning for his little girl. It was the only thing in his life that ever truly cared about him. The past and more devious version of himself indeed would have scoffed at such a disgusting idea, but despite his past actions, the Autobots had accepted his request to "talk". Indeed, he only wanted to ask for one thing to them, but unfortunately, his past behaviour did not make him a trustworthy ally. Leaning against a large Oaktree he nervously played with dirt with his heel like peds. The Autobots were kinder, but there was no reason to believe he would not be punished. As the minutes painfully ticked by, he was having second thoughts, what if they denied him and killed him right here and now? His own anxiety bounced around his head as the ideas came to him. Worst of all... He was unarmed, and they decided to do something to him... He could not stop them. The flash of green almost jumpstarted him so much that his wings fell off. They were here, No backing out now. One by one, Optimus their leader, the bulky one Bulkhead and... the wretch Arcee jumped through the ground bridge. All of their guns and optics locked into the seeker. Clearly not in the mode for any of his usual tricks, Optimus was straight to the point.

Optimus:" State your business, Starscream."

With his wings pressed to his back, Starscream took a few wobbly steps forward. A harsh glare from the leader made him stop in his tracks warning him not to get too close. Choosing a low intake, he tried to calm himself to speak. Swallowing his pride and egotistical personality, he opened his mouth, reaching deep inside him for the feelings he had long shoved aside since the war began. He had doubts this would work.

Starscream:" Please... I did not come here to fight. I came here to talk to you."

With his optics paying attention to details, Starscream noticed Arcee and Bulkhead tensed at his odd behaviour. As predicted, Optimus did not move an inch. It was admirable how much he kept his emotion in check even to the devious seeker himself.

Arcee:" is this some kind of joke?!"

Of course again, as predicted, the femmes reaction to his change in personality only angered her. He wasn't surprised honestly. He was known for being extremely unpredictable, which in some ways made him even more dangerous than Megatron himself.

Starscream:" I... assure you I only came to request something.

Optimus thought carefully. What could it be that Starscream wanted? Knowing his personality, it was probably something that would benefit both sides. However, it was proven that Starscream did often provide valuable information at times. Perhaps it was worth knowing what he wanted.

Optimus:" what is your request Starscream?"

Starscream:" I... I wish to see Asteria."

Optimus:" and in return?"

Starscream:"... I do not wish anything in return. I just wish her."

Bulkhead:" ha! Fat chance screamer! Why would we let you near her! She's in horrible condition! You didn't take care of her!"

How dare they! How dare they accuse him of such a thing! Did they really think that he was responsible for Asteria's lousy health? It made his Energon boil like never before. He had worked his aft off for his little girl. Giving her his last scraps of Energon. Cuddling her, giving her attention. Taking her under his wings. He was The reason that if she was even still alive!

Starscream:" How dare you accuse me of such a disgusting accusation! I took great care of Asteria! I will have you know that I found her abandoned inside of the cave! If it wasn't for me, she wouldn't be alive! I left her because... Because she needed some more care that.. being on my own I could not provide for....so that is why I came to ask.... may I please see my little girl?... she was the one thing that ever cared about me. It tore my spark in two to let her go. Given all of my past experiences, I can understand why you may say no... But please... I do... lover her. A concept I have never shared with anyone else. If you refuse to give her back... May I at least say goodbye? Please?.... I miss her so much."
