Starscream couldn't believe that the grumpy old medic had allowed him to leave the base alone. With a human mind, you. He couldn't help but find himself smiling at the gesture. It felt very nice to be trusted and honestly, he had never thought that trust was a trait that anybody would grant him. The little humans smile on its face was enough to make the seeker's wings flicker with glee—the flicking of the wings what's something that is only generally speaking seekers did when they were happy. When nervous, they lowered and so on. He could best describe it as an earth dog's tail and in a way it was a language of its own. His wings today, occasionally up but mostly down. He missed Asteria more than he knew he could miss someone. It was challenging to deal with one's emotions but having never experienced such strange feelings made it more difficult for Starscream. There was one thing that he found comfort in, the simple fact that he knew that not even Lord Megatron would dare hurt such an innocent creature. The thought of his disgustingly clawed servos touching his little girl needs his Energon boil. He may not hurt her physically, but he knew she would be damaged emotionally.
Raff:" hey, Starscream. Bee said you used to be an aerial commander before you joined the cons?"
Starscream wasn't stupid. He was very well aware that the young boy was simply using small talk to distract him. He was slightly and soldered that the young human bought that he would fall for such a thing, but perhaps It was best. He needed to relax and try to forget about his little one or the feelings would eat at him until he would snap.
Starscream:" indeed, I was. One of the very best".
Raff:" really? That's so cool! I bet you were good at it!"
Starscream:" well, I wasn't the commander for nothing you know".
After a time of awkward silence, the pair advanced on a nearby cave. Starscream instantaneously recognised the abandoned mine as a previous place for Megatron's goons. If there was one thing that he had learnt from working with the Decepticons, it was that once the mine was empty, they never returned it unless it was for one of Megatron's executions. What were the chances of it being in this cave?
Raff:" wow an Energon mine. I'm, it's empty, right?"
Starscream:" do not worry, Once they have taken all the Energon they never come back except for-"
Raff was a youngling so perhaps the other part about the only time they return was a bit inappropriate for his age.
Raff:" except for what, Starscream?"
Starscream:" oh nothing.
Raff:" If it's empty, let's go explore it!"
Starscream:" I don't think-"
Before Starscream could debate, the young human was already running into the cave looking around with curiosity. Perhaps it wouldn't hurt to go in just for a few minutes? No. It was irresponsible of him.
Starscream:" Raff, wait. It's not safe."
Raff:" you said it was empty".
Starscream:" it is but... Megatron sometimes returns to-"
Starscream felt his spark drop into his tanks when the sudden whirl of approaching vehicles approached. He knew who they belonged to, and without hesitation, he scooped the human up into his arms and made a mad dash into the cave.
Raff:" Woah! What's going on!"
Starscream:" Megatron is approaching".
Raff:" what?!"
Starscream:" listen to me, Sometimes Megatron returns to Kill his troops for traitorous situations.that's why I didn't want to go into the cave. I can assure you it's merely a coincidence that he showed up at this time."
